Re: Done deal Imma end this discussion right here, Fantasy is all about stat, so when I say Corey M doesnt just shoot 3s (he attempts 2-3 threes a game), so shootin 30% means he makes about 1 a game! 1/3 not bad. Name a player in the raptors other then bosh who goes to the rim 8.7 times?!!!! To add to this, you rather have Hughes who every team gets rid off rather then a player who gives raptors a hope of making the playoffs? Next, Larry Hughes is fucking garabage I rather have moon the Hughes, few reasons, he bitches about not bein the main star anymore, he bitches about minutes, and wayyyy 2 inconsistent. Therefore trading for him would only make raptors even worse! Being an All-star (when choosen by coaches) means they recognize the talent, therefore if he has NEVER been an All-star means his nothing but a AVG player!!! Next, If the wizards were so good then how come they never did anything after? How come they traded Larry? and why did Cavs trade Larry? HE IS WORTHLESS!!! Lastly, Marion trade isnt dead yet, Riley just wants to see JO play few games before making a decision (source Miami Herald) THE END!
Hey, I never said Hughes is good now. You asked for someone to name a team he was on that was successful and I just did as you asked. Infact, I think Hughes is one of the worst players in the game right now considering his contract and what he offers a team. Never did I say that I wanted him on the Raptors. And as I said before, the one good year he had, he was injured and therefore coaches didn't vote him in. And your logic is flawed. Sometimes good players are left off the all star team because there are just too many people to pick from. Do you really think Nash, Kobe, Paul, Roy, D.Will, and Parker will all get in? Sometimes deserving people do not make it due to positional restrictions. That year, Hughes realistically had a chance to make the game. Again, all I'm doing is pointing out that although Larry Hughes may suck now, there was a time when he was a good player, even a borderline allstar. All I'm saying is give a player recognition when he deserves it. About the Wizards not doing anything after, it doesn't help when your team starts getting injured, and you run into Lebron every year. And yes, the team did indeed become progressively worse after that year. I'm only pointing out that they did have success, when you asked "what kind of success did they have". And Larry was traded after because he sucked. Like I said before, he sucks now, but had at least one good year with the Wizards. All in all, I'm just providing answers to your questions. You assumed that I still think Larry's a good player, and you assumed that I thought the Wizards continued to be a good team, neither of which are true.
Re: Done deal 1.Corey Maggette has never been to an all star game, so, by your logic Corey Maggette=average 2.Im not going to say the Wizards success was only based on Hughes, but if they never did anything after he left, doesnt that say that Hughes had some part in making that team good. They havent seen the 2nd round of the playoffs since. Also, Larry Hughes was a part of the Cavaliers 2007 Finals runner up. He started for them. Thats more than Mags can say he has ever done with his life. Im not saying Hughes is great, im just poking holes in your flawed logic
Re: Done deal Put all the positional restriction aside, couple of years ago eddy curry played extremly well and wasnt in the all star game because he didnt deserve it, sure all the guys u named are good enough to be in, but for example nash is not having such a good yea (sure u can say he doesnt have the same team) but overall his not the same 2 time mvp steve nash (too old). Parker is also not having the best of season compared to roy, paul, kobe, and d-will, nash and parker shouldnt be in! Now Shogun, yes Corey is avg (i never once said his amazing), but Corey hasnt been on a team where he can show all his skills, for example in Clippers (if it wasnt for injuries to elton brand and Kaman) then corey wouldnt have had a successful year. Right now in GSW his not having a good year because he hasnt got the chance to play consistent minutes or know where he stands is he a starter or a 6th man? and now with the addition of J-Crawford his role is crushed, because of how similar they play. NExt the only reason why he started for then was because of limited options! Last, Corey M has never been on a team that had a superstar like Arenas, Jamison, LBJ, the only good player he ever played with was good was elton brand who was injured! So being a tag along doesnt make u hot shit! And you must forget his been to the 2nd round too, the year where suns eliminated Lakers and the dream matchup of Lakers vs. Clippers didnt happen! So as far as thats concerned if you were to say Corey hasnt had the same success as Larry has its so wrong, because Clippers had a chance of beating suns and reaching the finals (if sam cassel didnt have a 8 sec violation!!!!)
We're still waiting. Colangelo released this statement after the rumours started to get pretty overbearing. Take it as you want:
