    I used Merino Wool on my last trip. 5 day trip, used 2 pair of underwear, washed in the hotel sink daily and airdry..2 pair of socks too. Worked pretty well actually.

    The shirts, well...a little warmer than a cotton shirt IMO...heavier material....but they wicked sweat OK. But I like to be swaggy in my travel pics so had to pack other shit.
