Pointless trading for player that will not improve us greatly. I believe another trade Olshey will make will be for a star, we have the assets to get it done.
In fairness, the BGD OP did not suggest the Blazers trade for Kenneth Faried; it only said he's being shopped. And the blurb is labeled OT. Thank you BGD for not suggesting something as stupid as trading for Faried.
It'll take a hell of a lot more than a 12-pack to get me drunk enough to root for Fareid. I'm a fan of his motor, and that's it.
I will say this: none of us know how Faried would preform under the Blazers system, let's not be too negative about the prospect of him joining.
We'd have to play him with Meyers to maintain any kind of floor spacing, he's just not what we are looking for at the 4 imo.
What prospect? Like the prospect that I'm going to join the Blazers? I gotta $40 bill says he ain't gonna come; we just won't do it. Nothing to see here.
You actually think there is a nickels chance in hell he comes here, that Neil would trade for him? LMAO
He's better then Layman of course, better than Vonleh now maybe, but Vonleh has a better upside, his potential makes him the better player. Ezeli is better, his injuries have gotten the better of him. Faried isn't a team player. He is egotistical and thinks he's better than everyone else...kind of reminds me of someone that used to play for the Blazers...but faried isn't even at that level. Faried is a regression in the making.
Apparently, they like to overpay them and then try to ship them out for second round picks or flat out waive them. They have a recent history of overpaying bigs with PER>20 that have a negative overall impact on their team, and then regretting it. Exhibit A: JaVale McGee; Exhibit B: J.J. Hickson; Exhibit C: Kenneth Faried. These are all selfish players that care more about padding their own stats than winning. BNM
So you can shit on Faried when Vonleh plays at a high level and Ezeli can actually play without getting injured every season. Until then, lets not act as if our team is stacked with 10 legit starters and we don't need him. I think coaching affected his "regression" as well, he would be rated higher if he played under Brad Stevens instead of playing for the Kings' former coaches.
