<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CuseBallers:</div><div class="quote_post">From the Cuse, went to school there during the Carmelo reign, and I'm friends with several people he is still in contact with. Him and Miller do not get along.

Plus, dont trust Miller's numbers, he'll always get his assists, but that is often misleading as on every team he has been on, he has always had the ball, as the only ballhandler on the floor. Because of that his assist numbers are always high, but he'll always look to get his little midrange shot off first.

Plus, look at the playoffs last year. He averaged 13 shots a game while the two players who should have been getting the most looks, Melo and K-Mart got 16 & 12 respectively. Those numbers should have been more like 10 for Miller and 20 and 15 for Melo and K-Mart. However, both Miller and Boykins tried to do way to much.

Millers assists also went from 7 to a dismal 5 in the playoffs. Miller had a great game 1 of the playoffs and got a big head, therefore crushing any chance Denver had of making that series competitive.

Earl Watson is one of the top five defensive Point Guards in the league without a doubt, but I wouldn't want him starting on my team without a player like Andre Miller to back him up. That's because Watson is a borderline liability on offense, with a high turnover rate and a very selfish attitude despite not being that great of a shooter or scorer. I think that Watson would compliment the more offensive-minded Miller well though, like the Williams and Watson combination in Memphis last year.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CuseBallers:</div><div class="quote_post">Good suggestions on possible trades Shapecity. You mentioned NY possibly, but no trade scenario. How bout this one... Miller/Nene for Q/Sweetney? I know Q just got there, but Nene and Miller would be great additions to NY, at positions the desperately need help. And Q is perfect for what Denver needs. A win/win for both teams.</div>
Weird, I thought I had posted a trade scenario with the Knicks, I must have thought it, but not typed it. I just don't function well without caffeine running through my body.

I remember the Nuggets going after QRich when he was a free agent, but they didn't feel he was worth the money he was paid by the Suns. Also QRich isn't really a true 3pt shooter, he's actually better inside the paint posting players up.

    How about a blockbuster trade?

Kenyon Martin + Eduardo Najera for Stephon Marbury & Channing Frye

So they bring on yet another Point Guard and lose a Power Forward in the process? I don't really understand that transaction. And does New York really need another undersized Power Forward in return for losing their potential starting Center and starting Point Guard? Who would start for them at the point, Nate Robinson?

Stephon Marbury would play SG for the Nuggets, the Knicks plan on using him there this upcoming season as well.

The Nuggets can move Nene into the starting lineup and have Frye coming off the bench for Nene and Camby.

Keyon Martin might not be your ideal height for a PF, but he's proven he can handle the position and be successful on both ends of the floor. His presence will raise the defensive intensity and gives the Knicks an intimidating shotblocker. Eduardo Najera is another energy player off the bench for the Knicks and will bring some defensive toughness to the SF position.

I don't think the Knicks have their starting PG in place yet. Larry Brown wants to get a veteran, but so far Isiah hasn't been able to land him one.

I know that talent wise this trade is pretty good, but I still don't understand how this remotely solves the problem of having a Point Guard surplus with Earl Watson. There are much better solutions out there than trading away your second best offensive option for a 6-2 aging, selfish, turnover prone Point Guard that you want to play at Shooting Guard. And I feel like the Knicks can at least get a legit Point Guard in return for Marbury. Nate Robinson won't be starting anytime soon.

Here's a scenario I came up with. It's whacky, but so are these other ones -

Denver Trades: Andre Miller, Julius Hodge, Francisco Elson
Denver Receives: Mike Miller, Future Memphis 1st Rnder, Maceij Lampe, Arvydas Macijauskas

Why?: It meets all of their immediate needs. Mike Miller is without a doubt one of the top five (or at least top ten) shooters in the NBA, something which Denver sorely needs. Andre Miller was expendable, and there's no need for Hodge now with Miller, so they don't really lose much. Watson (or Boykins)/Miller/Anthony/Martin/Camby would be one of the best starting lineups in the league.

Memphis Trades: Lorenzen Wright, Mike Miller, Jake Tsakalidis, Antonio Burks, Future 1st Rnder
Memphis Receives: Jamaal Magloire, Andre Miller, Julius Hodge, Francisco Elson

Why?: Okay, it may seem like Memphis cleans house in this trade, but they only gain 3.5 ppg and 2.5 rpg, and that's considering that Mike Miller, Lorenzen Wright, and Jake Tsakalidis didn't get much playing time, plus they'd be adding a pick. The trade would give them legit big men, and with Eddie Jones (and Hodge after this deal), they can trade Mike Miller without losing much sleep. There's not really much room for Andre Miller, but there's nothing wrong with added depth.

New Orleans Trades: Jamaal Magloire, Arvydas Macijauskas, Maceij Lampe
New Orleans Receives: Lorenzen Wright, Jake Tsakalidis, Antonio Burks

Why?: New Orleans is clearly in rebuilding mode, and it looks like Magloire will be traded soon anyway, so why not for Lorenzen Wright, who is just as talented (if not more)? They'd have to give up Macijauskas and Lampe for cap purposes, but they'd also bring in Tsakalidis and Burks who could be solid contributers if given the playing time.
