We lost by three points and our most productive/efficient guy in many stat categories misses 3 of his 4 free throw attempts in a three point game. Sigh... If jrich could shoot free throws, then we can talk about all-star apperances. That's something perimeter players have to do to get respect going inside otherwise Jrich will get clobbered harder than guys do to people that can make and1 plays and make the free throw. That's three points the high % way. The 40-50% play inside + 80% free throw and1 compared to the few seconds left, hoist a three ball type shot.
I still think a lot of people are short-changing Andris when it comes to the offensive side projections. Right now he's not being as aggressive as he could be, and the Warriors have lots of other scorers, but I suspect Andris could become a more foreceful scorer if he really wanted to (esp. with his efficiency). We know he can be aggressive defensively, I think that attitude could be duplicated on the offensive side. Look what Patrick Ewing and the Houston coaches were able to do with Yao down in Houston. Maybe Nellie should give Patrick a call. Plus, I just refuse to believe this guy is going to be a 35% career freethrow shooter. That's almost impossible. If he can get it into the 50-60% range that's going to add a lot, obviously.
