    Why do NBA players care about their number so much? I mean what; Kobe lost his love the the number 8, and now thinks its cool to be number 24. Plus when I hear number 8 first thing that comes to mind is Kobe Bryant. When people hear 23 they think Jordan, when people hear 8 they think Kobe thats just the way it is. But anyways Kobe is just amazing, hopefully that #24 doesn't change his game.

    I bet the NBA is loving this. Think of how many Kobe fans are going to have to buy his jersey again.

    Not much of a difference in my opinion. Its just a number.

    Thank god I didnt buy my Kobe jersey yet, I was planning on going out this weekend but when I read this i think im going to wait until a few months and the seasons over.

    I deleted the picture, keep it off of here. I don't want any problems, with anybody.

    I like the number change. Number 8 is his past, his evil past. The past where he was accused of rape. He's finally turning his fate into good, but the one thing that will linger with him is that number 8. I just hate the fact that Sasha's taking it.

    Ahhhh this is pretty dumb. Everyone recognize him with #8. Also the #8 has a lot of meaning after he scored 81 points.

    Everyone forgets MJ only wore #45 because his #23 was already retired and it broke NBA rules to wear a jersey that was retired. It wasn't his actual decision to switch numbers.

    I think this is one big marketing scheme, meaning all the Kobenites out there will have to go fork out more money for a new jersey.
