Dame and Porzingis P&R would be more effective than Dame and Nurk. And he has much better touch around the hoop.

If you think we get the short end of the stick, add Brunson from them and Smith from us!

Fischer: "Nearly every team outside of bottom feeders are buyers right now."

"Everyone you speak to around the league, they say Nurk and Roco are available right now."

Also asked him about expiring contracts, and he said there might be more value for them this year than in years past because so few teams actually have substantial caproom this year.

I'm tellin you guys--- getting a first for Roco should NOT be that hard.

Sometimes I wonder if anyone actually reads the rumor before jumping to conclusions.

“Sabonis’ value around the league seems mixed, but there are several teams in the playoff picture, such as the Blazers and Kings, team executives have pointed to as potential landing spots. The Trail Blazers have Jusuf Nurkic and Robert Covington available.”

Fischer doesn’t say the Blazers have “made” either player available. He just says that they are two guys the Blazers could use to try to structure a deal for Sabonis. Later in his piece he says other teams have interest in Nance. Nowhere does he say the Blazers have an interest in moving him though. He does say the Blazers are primarily interested in gauging the level of interest around the league in Covington and Nurk. Well, duh. Two ending contracts for players who aren’t exactly dominating this season, it would be GM malpractice to not be testing the waters to see who might want them. Finally, nowhere in the rumor does it say the Blazers aren’t interested in trading CJ. It doesn’t mention him at all. Teams can have discussions about lots of different guys in looking for deals that might make sense.

He just confirmed that they are in his weekly call.

Repeated Utah's potential interest in Roco just now as well. Looking for a wing to push either Ingles/O'Neale to the bench.

we know that. the national media doesn't yet, it appears. Also a train of thought that a trade would help Roco regain his form.

Salary wise the only thing that works is RoCo for Ingles

Fischer just said Roco + Nurk for Sabonis is more intriguing from the Pacers' perspective than a deal with Detroit for Jerami Grant. He cited that having bird rights for our expiring dudes could be of value to Indy.

Utah should also be interested in Nurkic as their backup C is Hassan Whiteside

It does if you start Nas at the 3 and Norm at the 2....right now Norm has a mismatch every night

I'd guess that just about everyone not named Dame is available. But, yeah, I'd say RoCo's time in Portland is about done and I'd guess the same is true for Nurk unless he dramatically improves his level of play.

Cronin is on the clock starting tomorrow.
Im sure Jody & Bert will be waiting for him to bring them deals, one which needs to be a blockbuster. He can sure up this new position of his if he shocks the world!

On the other hand, if we cannot trade CJ for anything of value, then ignore the salary and put him in a position where he can [hopefully] help the team most and make him the 6th man. Yeah, he may be overpriced for that role but if we only played people because of their salary, there are a number of guys who we've had in the past who would have gotten a lot more playing time.

Trade for better fit and if that is not an option, use him where he can, potentially, add more value to the team.

First we hear that Joe and Cj have been talking.

Now we hear he’s not a part of this available player group

this is going to end in disappoint, isn’t it.

Well I'm sure these rumors will really help the teams focus, effort and overall performance... God help us all.
