maybe im wrong, but the only reason i can think of is the hate he gets by the fans, hes been the scapegoat for quite some and it all intensified during this terrible period for the trail blazers... i really hope thats not the case and i hope someone hacked his social meadia and shut it down
I see a lot more trashing of Dame around here than of Nurkic also...social media has become a giant cesspool, especially since Musk took over twitter
I hope everything is good with Nurk. He isn't perfect, but he's a legit matchup problem at both ends for most teams.
its not about this forum, its about his social media fans are shifty (any fans for that matter), they will get on anyones back, but this is different, nurk is really a guy with a target on his back
it could be, but even in a difficult times (leg break, death of his grandma), he didnt delete social media however, lets hope its what you said and he wants to focus solely on bball and help his team improve... his self accountability in the press after last nights game would back up your theory
thats exactly what i wrote in my last post, team is in a trouble right now and he sees himself as part of the problem and now he wants to be part of the solution, so he sees social media as unnecessary distraction right now that would actually really impress me if true, thats a leader move right there
I commend Nurk for deleting social media.....it's such an unnecessary part of life...I thought his humble self efacing post game interview after the Magic loss was a sign of adulthood and loss of goofy young snark. Nurk is a damned good center and we need a damned good center. I think he's been great a lot of this season. The guy who should delete social media is Chauncey
I'm not on social media except for you tube channels and here....he won't miss them at all. I haven't seen hate for Nurk on any basketball channels I follow so that must be a twitter or instagram problem for him. I don't use those platforms because I have seen them become toxic.
he deleted instagram, twitter & facebook whats interesting, in his facebook page, its usually bosnian people writing, not much of a trail blazers fans, but on twitter & instagram, its all trail blazers fans
I love the dude and he is by far not the only one to blame for our current run. Probably a good thing to take a break from it for his own mental health; not a real fan imo if you abuse one of your own players anyway.
That is a great move for a leader to take. From my vantage point Nurk has not been the primary issue. My biggest complaint is that he's getting called for too many offensive fouls while screening. Unfortunately Nurk doesn't have control over many of them. Frequently it is because the guy with the ball is moving 0.5-second early.... although there also have been a LOT of very questionable calls that should be a no-call.
