Do you honestly believe the Blazers will be considered a favorite to win the Western Conference next season?
A favorite? No. But have a chance if they have a decent offseason? Perhaps. Definitely a much better chance at being dangerous next year than this one.
I hope we anger them the way the Spurs angered them when they kept Robinson out. Jabari Smith here we come!
so fukkin what, they are using their brains/commom sense, realizing that a lotto pick only accelerates the rebuild/retool a helluva lot more that a playin game or another first round blowout and no lotto pick - get a friggin clue!
Nurk is the SGA equivalent. An established guy who will gain very little from 25 games in a lost season. Simons, meanwhile, still has only been the featured guy for about a month and half. It would behoove the team to have him get his reps right now. And all the while have him build a legit relationship with Chauncey. And besides, Simons himself is far less likely to agree to sit out while on the precipice of a massive deal that could reach a max if he continues his current trajectory.
I don't think this whole board has reached this level of consensus about any other topic. Even @KSF-ERIC wants to tank. What has the world come to....
I'll admit, this does have the appearance of a tanking decision But as somebody who has personally dealt with plantar fasciitis I can testify that is no joke. It can be severe and extremely painful. More than that it is unpredictable; you can be doing just fine for months and wake up one morning nearly unable to walk. The only solution, short of surgery, is mild stretching and rest. Stay off the foot
Is this the front office executing the Tank, or a result of Nurk playing more minutes than he ever has. Either way, the Draft pick watch is back on.
i too dealt with this earlier, and it stemmed off a bone spur. Painful as hell, but it wasn't as idiosyncratic for me and I knew exactly my limits before reaching my pain threshold. But the timing of all this announcement is suspicious, especially when you consider Eubanks was already contacted last week and Watford knew about the contract over the weekend. And the 4+ weeks note is damning for me. If real, I think they woulda listed it as "indefinitely."
yeah, I know it's a bit suspicious. Just wanted to tell people that the condition can really set somebody back (but not on their heels!)
Of course. The dude absolutely cannot stay healthy to save his life. No way he gets more than 10 mil a year. If the Blazers give him more than that they will be very sorry.
