Mr. Robot is the resident Nurk homer - so I take it as sarcasm.

I have read something interesting on Blazers Edge writen from a Rockets fan:
"Do you guys feel like Nurkic is sort of a double edged sword? He clearly helps your defense, but your offense was on fire with him out last night. Does he affect your spacing some maybe? You guys would know better than I.

That was a highly entertaining game. You guys probably should have won it honestly, but Harden has just been incredible this season, and he’s been more efficient, decisive, and smarter with the ball this year than ever before. Dame was incredible as well. It’s a shame he turned his ankle. He still had a tremendous game. He’s something else when he’s on. We simply couldn’t defend him last night."

In my opinion he is. He has great size and great defensive instincts. He just hasn't played organized basketball very long and he is young and immature. I think he'll be a good one especially if we put a PF like Collins or Vonleh with him.

Dunno if it is time to let him go just YET..but given the fact he’s a RFA after the year....it puts us in a rushed situation to make a decision. I’d offer him a front loaded contract and try to create a escape hatch in the terms and agreements after a certain amount of years if he doesn’t improve...if he doesn’t accept we need to be aggressive for the best FA center on the market. He’s a good player who can be great..can be is the big word here though

Don't know how to say in english but i give my best: i talked with a guy on a German forum and that guy is half German and half bosnian, he is also NBA fan and has watched a lot of Blazers Games this year because he wanted to see Nurkic, and he says his laziness is because of his bosnian mentality and this will never change because thats in his DNA. A lot of people from Balkan or ex-Yugoslavia are Lazy and don't like to Work and get Money from the State. He also thinks when he get's paid in Summer he sits on his Ass the rest of his Career and have Maybe 20 Good Games and the rest are bad. I don't know how to Think about that, because every human is different in my oppinion, but maybe he could be right about Nurkic. I Really Hope he doesn't get more than 15 Million per year

His workouts this summer were far from lazy.

How could we sign the best FA on the market with no cap space?

Wasn’t aware of our cap space...well we need pretty much get rid of anyone not named Lillard, CJ, Nurkic anyway. Get us some space to make moves and right some wrongs.

Ouch. The only solution may be more contracts...with the mob. Summer hit list: Turner, Leonard and Harkless?

I'm not convinced Nurk is earning a max contract, or that another team is going to offer him max. You never know because other GMs might want to fuck with us. His lack of 3pt shooting hurts in today's NBA, though his defense is superb.

What I'd like to see is if he'd do a smaller deal with a player option. He stays with the Blazers, where I hope he's happy. And he gets to opt out and get that MAX deal if he earns it.

Stereotype much? Those are not the people who work hard enough to start on an NBA team......every country has slackers...I'm sure there are plenty of lazy Germans too...lot of basketball players come from near poverty to having enough to care for their families...
