Yeah, but Jokic is better at golf and fishing.

He has more time to enjoy those leisure pursuits during his longer summers.

Anyone else at all concerned he's getting too thin? I'm torn. Really proud of the effort he's putting in though. He certainly seems inspired by his brush with success/fame

I'm not concerned at all. It's his base that makes him so effective. That won't change very much.

You can look slimmer as long you add strength with muscle so I am not worry.

The homer in me pictures a young, slim Sabas and that's likely exciting me way more than it should

Naw. He's just in shape. Look at his lower body. He's still a house.

A healthier and more focused/comfortable Nurkic could be the biggest change to this team in years. The teaser he gave us last year has all of us excited for the season to start already.

The bigs we most likely get from this draft will hopefully help keep him rested and healthy for the entire season.

Seems like that's the idea in today's game. Slim down, less of a focus on muscle mass, stronger core = reduced chance of injury.

A healthy, physically fit Nurk would be light years better than where we were at the beginning of last year. It would free up Dame and CJ to run riot. And then if we can just draft a true athletic small forward PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD wifh an improved Vonleh....

We'd be cooking with gravy baby!

Speaking of Vonleh, has anyone heard if he's working out or working on improving his game?

Last I heard of him he was at a sizzler with golf legend Shooter McGavin. Rumor has it he cleared the wing bar.

It's weird...The more i get hyped about Nurkic, the more i worry he won't make it because of injuries.

Would the universe allow us to be successful? :matrix:

Vonleh actually gave us a real taste of what he's capable of last year. We all kind of gave him some extra rope because he is so young and is physically a beast. Now that he is maturing and maybe learning how to use his frame, we should see a more confident player on both ends of the court. Obviously Nurkic opens up space for Vonleh... so that helps.

He had some monster rebounding games last year that really surprised me.

He also really does have a good feel for where the ball is going to come off the rim. That's a gift.

If he turns into a good player along with Nurk and we have to max them both and don't have the money.... I will pull all my hair out with a pair of rusty pliers. If one of them goes to LA or The Spurs or GS I will just get a smiling Doc Rivers tattoo on my back.

They're both RFAs. Portland can match and/or go over the cap to sign them. Haven't we been over this before, or was that someone else?
