We are just lucky Brooklyn didn't offer Myle a bigger deal contract and force us to match....because NO might have matched.

At least Vonleh will TRY to earn his deal.

No he certainly is not if CJ isnt even quite a max (granted he's really really close) Nurk is not a max player. Not yet at least. And dont even get me started on Vonleh his ceiling of what he can hope for is Meyers' contract and if he gets that type of money they both would be overpaid. Vonleh's contract would be worse imo cause he has managed somehow to show LESS than meyers had at this point in their respective careers.

Just burn 20m of Paul Allen's money on center court instead at least that would be worth watching.

Old guy question, really bothering me: what does "SZN" stand for? I did a quick google search and I think it means savage or something? I don't see the connection between "SZN" and savage so I think I'm getting this wrong.

Wanna bet? As for CJ, that was a personal choice (sacrificed money for security.) Nurk does what he did with Portland last year and he's easily a max player. He doesn't even have to improve. Just watch what Noel gets, and he's not on Nurks level.

I know he's gunna get paidd but max? no. give him 21 per tho definitely more than allen fucking crabbe. The guy has got money coming his way but I dont think he's a max player if he's only putting up 15/10/3 thats not enough for him to hold 25% of our cap.

And wouldnt you say nurk and cj's careers entering this period are pretty similar. Showed flashes of brilliance but by their third years had some serious question marks. One for attitude another for health reasons. Cj in his third year showed himself with consistent playing time and a big ol green light to be a fringe allstar on the cusp and in his fourth he burned the house down. So can Nurk do the same? My hopes are high that he can reach the same level as cj and dame but it remains to be seen. Right now he's just a really good prospect I feel like in order to get the max you need to be a special player and prove it over a season.

How do you figure? He was solid for them a year sooner than anyone had a right to expect him to be. He may never be a "max player," but he'll be better than half the guys who got max contracts...

Wes sucked every game I watched Dallas play and I like Wes.....he was overpaid...Cuban bumped his offer when Jordan went back to the Clippers....originally that money was for Jordan

I agree with you, but the NBA is throwing money around so everyone is getting more than they're worth. If a guy like Noel can land a max....

Nurkic is a TOP 10 C in the next season, and Ill even say with ceiling to be TOP 5 in the future, theres no doubt in my mind about that, we all saw what he can do in those 20 games, and he didnt even do a pre season with the team

also, theres another important thing, he will undoubtedly be in the best shape of his life, add to that pre season with the team and the motivation he already shows while spending his vacation working on himself

hell spend his summer in Portland, which says alot, how focused and determineted he is

the only thing that bothers me about Nurkic is his health, and while Im not particularly worried about that, Im a bit suspicious...

he's already a top 10 center. however there isn't a center that the blazers would rather have than nurkic. so really to us he's a best center we could have ever ask for

Nurkic just wanted to be wanted. We give everything we got to any player that shows us heart. That's just how we are here. Nurkic has seen that and looks like he is trying to give back the same to the organization and fans that believe in him. If he can stay healthy he will be compared to Sabonis and Walton as one of the greatest centers to ever play for Portland.
