Nurkic is a fucking idiot for that shit. Dumb ass. If he didn’t touch you or throw anything at you don’t fuck with peoples shit.
Seriously, that doesn't even register on the fucking idiot scale. I should know, I pretty much set a new high score every day.
Kid is getting a free phone at least, possibly more. Not smart Nurk, but not a big problem either. I'm sure it was worth the $50k it might cost him...
There’s rumors that the kid said something about his grandma who passed away. We all know how close Nurk was to his grandma. And also why we gotta protect these rich ass punks? If Nurk didn’t do anything how will they ever learn? Nurk made a calculated risk and I am sure he doesn’t regret it
Other celebs have been charged with vandalism for similar acts. But if the dude did heckle Nurk in appropriately, I'd have to imagine that's not something that would happen here, or it sets a bad precedent to would-be hecklers.
Oh no! Nurk made TMZ! https://www.tmz.com/2022/03/21/jusu...-phone-courtside-altercation/?adid=social-twa
Usually I would agree with you on this, but no longer. These "fans" are out of control, and lawsuits be damned, it is time the players start non-violently fighting back. I love what Nurk did. I know Nurk a little, because of my job, and I see how the "fans" at Moda act. Once you see it and experience it on a constant basis, and actually KNOW about the issue, you would probably feel different. But, that could be said about the majority of your opinions.
Agree 100% but personally, I doubt it happened. How would this kid in Indiana know about his Grandma? Reminds me of when Vern Maxwell entered the stands one night and claimed he did it because someone heckled him about his dead child. I may be remembering this wrong but whatever he claimed.....no one else in the stands heard it but Vern. How is that even possible? To be clear I think heckling is annoying and usually backfires. And there is no excuse for "personal" attacks. But at the same time, I think many players make shit up so they don't get in trouble.
Wait... Nurk makes how much a year to sit in street clothes, reacts physically to someone heckling him (evidently) and THE FAN is a rich-ass punk? Hah I know it might have been something as terrible as "Westbrick" or something unforgivable, but letting players physically threaten or batter (which is what one does when one grabs someone's phone) is a bad precedent. The "kid" might have known how to fight and would have been more justified in hurting Nurk than Nurk was in physically getting in his face and grabbing his phone.
How is this “a kid”? He had a beer. Fuck that guy. Glad Nurkic did it. Fans are out of control and getting more pathetic each year. Worth the fine whenever it comes.
The cackle from the one fan as Nurk approaches... tell me that guy isn't happy While these fans are obviously not greatest people, offensive heckling does not come anywhere close to requiring a physical response from the player. Nurk clearly looks like the meathead for taking the bait and confronting them, that could have turned really ugly. If offensive family stuff is being yelled so loud a player sitting across the court can hear it, security should be all over that. Blazer personnel should be all over security to be all over that. But this path Josef chose will result in fines for him, embarrassment for the franchise and guaranteed extra heckling for the team and especially Nurk where ever he goes in hopes he'll punk out again. STOMP
Rodney Hood did something similar before he was traded to Portland. Got fined 35k for it. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...dney-hood-fined-35000-slapping-phone-fan-hand
Good point, but I have a question. Are you giving Nurk the benefit of the doubt because of the uniform he wears?
