Joe wanted Kobe to marry within his race, it was a pride issue. Some people of races get like that. Some whites want their children to marry whites, black with blacks, asians with asian, etc. Jellybean didn't approve of Vanessa because she was a Latina. They have since patched things up. I believe they patched it up around the rape trial.

I'm very surprised to hear that but yeah I'm glad to see that they have patched things up like I said I saw them at the sparks game and they looked very happy & comfortable talking with one another. But of course the media won't tell you things like that!!
