    I don't know, he didn't avoid it?

I heard so much about the stock market and how it's down because of Obama and just wait till the fiscal cliff hits and then it will be really bad and dow will dip 1000 and blah blah blah. Next thing I know the fiscal cliff talk stops and some agreement has been made.

Maybe if there was a fiscal cliff it would be Obama's fault but if there isn't it was not because of him?

I do know there has been a lot of scare tatics on this board about the fiscal cliff, the country going BK and now gun control. Personally I'm not living my life in fear of Obama, but I get that many are and anything he does seems to generate or renew this fear.

I must have missed the people on this board being worried about the fiscal cliff. There was never that much to worry about, and Obama (along with the rest of the politicians) didn't accomplish a single damn thing.

everyone knew they were going to strike up a deal at the VERY last minute after they postured to satisfy their bases. It was an invented crisis like the debt ceiling.

The deal isn't anything other than kicking the can down the road though.

I think republicans should have not budged on taxes. Let Democrats expire the taxes on everyone - it'll raise serious revenue to take a bite out of the deficit. On top of that, no budget ceiling deal either. Force govt. to cut the fat and get to what they can actually pay for.
