As long as Obama brings down gas prices, I'm happy. I'm going to start driving soon and as long as I'm not paying 60 bucks to fill up my car, I'm happy. Gas these days in Houston is around 2 dollars. Pretty fucking awesome!

He's American and He's our first Bi-Racial President, if you dont count those that had some Native-American. But I get what your saying.

I wonder how many people realise that Obama once said that he wanted a complete overhaul of the welfare system, including foodstamps. So that the people that need and deserve them would be eligable and cutting out giving them to those that dont. This was one of the main things I liked about him and hope he does do it. My 70 yr old grandmother who got 200 dollars a month in SS, could only get 10 bux, but some people that didnt deserve them..they wouldnt get out and work and were in their 20's(they were white btw and so am I)...got over 300 bux. Thats not right. I use to work at a grocery store and knew some of these people, so I know from first hand experience that it happens.

What gets me is that some of these hypocrits who also make sodomy a crime, probably go home and bang their wifes in the bunghole. :biglaugh: I agree with this guy, if gay people want to be gay let them. And based on our constitutional right of the Pursuit of Happeness, denying them the same rights as heterosexual's is unconstitutional, whether we agree with their lifestyle or not.

Because it's coming from GMJ, it's probably about semen or something.

    Re-read your post.

I was pulling for McCain, but I hope Obama proves me wrong. I hope he is the best president we ever had. I don't agree with his methodology, his campaign, and his policies, because realistically they won't work, but I think he will realize that soon enough.

Good luck and congratulations to Barack Obama and GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Eh, I really wouldn't call it a Republican meltdown. At this point the whole system works against us. Nearly every special interest group, unions, minorities, all vote Democrat. Not to mention the fact that the colleges are overrun with hippies from the 60's teaching their agenda to the youth of America. And don't even get me started on the media. While I feel several mistakes were made by McCains campaign, I really don't blame Republicans for him losing.

While I guess you could say it's a good thing that America has it's first minority President, I really feel that Obama is nowhere near the man for the job. The fact that he is the most inexperienced candidate in history will shine through and I don't think it will take long. Maybe it's just me but I feel African Americans did themselves a huge disservice by so overwhelmingly voting for Obama, it showed the vast majority care little about the politics of a Presidential race, they voted based on color and in my opinion shows who the real racists in this country are.

And Dear God, if Palin is our nominee, I'm moving to Canada.

It would have been a tough task for either nominee. There's so many problems to deal with, but even though I didn't vote for Obama, he's the President now and I wish him the best. I hope he does bring change to the White House and has a positive influence over the Nation within, and how we're viewed around the world.

I've had a lot of relatives from all over the world emailing and calling, offering congrats to Obama winning and they're looking forward to improved relations with the US. I think that's a good sign.

Obama has made it cool to be American again. He can have an impact on the world, not just our country.

And I agree with Rip, God help the GOP if Palin is their candidate in 2012.
