Never is a very long time. Things in this country change slowly, but they do change.

Well yeah, if the Pharma companies stop giving them money. The Dems are just as bad as the Reps in terms with swaying to the groups that give them the most money.

It's a problem, I agree with you. Need better campaign finance laws. Unfortunately the Supremes have us going the wrong direction there.

I decided to look just out of curiosity (my coverage is 100% employer paid). There are LOTS of cheaper options available to me. Actually, I just sorted the list and of 80 options, only 5 of them are more expensive than what I currently have. There are 3 platinum level plans that are cheaper, and 16 gold plans that are cheaper.
I'm actually shocked at just how inexpensive these plans are.

Really! My former employer had dropped all of us retirees. It appears like I have three plans to choose from. Boy what bath we get from this. For 53 years I have been paying nothing, now it looks like $239 a piece per month for my wife and I plus the $105 a month each for Medicare. The crappy part is though, it still leaves $400 a day co pay if you need to go in the hospital. I can't see the point in buying that insurance, might as well just
take the Medicare and pay the $1100 hundred Hospital deductible. I hope Obama gets his just reward for this crap, I think it was criminal to tax employers for the people they are covering.

Consumer's Union has set up a free confidential web site for information: www.healthlawhelper.org. In Spanish, aseguratusalud.org. It asks questions about family size, income range, current insurance situation, and gives information on waht if anything you need to do. Also, a lot of state have web sites, don't know where you live, try googling for your state's exchanges, or you can look at www.healthcare.gov.
