You're crazy Ed. Oden is obviously a pussy, because Mediocre Man had a hockey coach who told him to play on an injury once.:ghoti:

I'll take that bet...I figure one or two will be started by people, five or six by trolls.

Bayless has been getting a lot of run with the first unit. I'd like to think he'd start over Rudy.

I get the idea of letting them take a day off against a very tough opponent, but as a fan, I hate the idea.

This is Boston at the Rose Garden. Players should live for these kind of games and as a fan, I do. Yes their chances of winning are less than a Toronto or even Denver . . . but that is what makes it all the more sweeter to win those games.

Not many teams if any overlook the Blazers anymore, so a win against a Boston is a huge statement to the league.

Jesus people!!!! What happened to players like Ripkin and AC Green and Brett Favre. If you can play you play period. Especially if it's something that can't get worse by playing on it. If it's just sore then nut up and and get out there and give the people their moneys worth.

How do we know this? I'm not doubting mind you, just curious where this came from.

I bet they'll both play. Oden's ankle is probably just a sprain, and he'll want to play in this game. Roy participated in practice - maybe not all of it, but parts of it. This is a game that both guys want to be in. Boston is a measuring stick, and the Rose Garden is going to be absolute bedlam. It's the kind of game that young NBA players live for. I bet they'll both play, and it'll come down to the wire.

Rice said it on courtside tonight and Nate confirmed it. When Bayless gets practice run, it's with the starters. The part I thought was weird though....Nate was asked if Bayless got more run today b/c of Roy's injury. Nate said yes, but at the PG. He didn't say if Blake moved to the 2, but that would make the most sense.

Thanks Brian. That would actually make a lot of sense since Blake is a SG in reality.

    LOL Brandon Pipp???

nobody gives the smallest shit if a shmo ruins their ability to play by pushing their feeble talent into the red... nobody. Millions of dollars would be lost and heads would roll if Greg was ruined because he was pressured into a mid-season game against the team's best medical advice. Apples and oranges and then some.

If it won't do anything more than add some pain to the ankle then play. I'm not saying he should play if there is a chance he could do more damage to it.

It's the implication that he's not playing on it because he's soft that people have problems with.

I don't think Greg is the soft one.

If anything it's the teams take on it. I get that you need to be careful with these guys, but like I said, if it won't damage the ankle they should let him play.

And the implication that you know more about the severity of the injury or how Greg himself is taking the injury, is also a bit much.

I dunno anything about the injury, nor do I think I implied that I do.

I am just going on his status. Words like "Questionable" and "Game time decision", to me mean he could probably play without doing any damage to the ankle. If so, I hope and think the Blazers let him play.

Again, you're implying that they're keeping him out when he could play. As if they're treating him with kid gloves. Sometimes I think you like that you take the contrarian point of view, know it, and think you're so much wiser than the rest of us because of it.

I think KP has built up a level of trust that gives him a ton of benefit of doubt. Acting like they're being over-reactionary is a Canzanoian thing to do.

You've basically become Mixumanzano of the board.

I don't know about this instance . . . but the impression that the organization is treating Oden with "kids gloves" is easy to draw, IMO.

KP has said numerous times that that are being overly cautious with Greg. he said it a lot before the season, and when he got injured against the L*kers. So excuse me for acting like they are being overly cautious. I was just going off of what KP actually says constantly.

As for us, let's agree to disagree. I don't really like to argue. I have my thoughts and you have yours. Bickering is pointless IMO.
