I would think that the Warriors would be looking to reduce salary for next year they've got to many high priced players. Dray Green for Winslow, Keo & Bledso plus a future second. Dray, Dame, Hart, Simons, Nurk plus #6 and whoever.
I would love to have Draymond on this team, but at his age, and he is in decline,I wouldn't want to give up that much. But GS isn't sending him off for nothing. (considering the "other team" in a scenario)
Green Just tuned 32 and Dame does in July. GS needs to dump some salary. If They could get it done w/o Winslow cool. Salaries have to match.
Don't tell me you see Winslow as a part of our future that needs to be preserved. IMO, he'd be nothing more than a throw in for a deal like this. Shouldn't impact the value one way or the other.
The Warriors are the new Spurs. It seems like players all play better in Kerr's system and alongside Steph and Klay. Not sold that Green would be the same with Portland.
If Minny is stupid enough to put KAT on the block, I would give up our whole team minus Dame to put those two together. But pretty interesting to see some potential flameouts already surface in KAT, Siakam, the entire Jazz roster, etc. Would Paul George qualify?
I think with the emergence of Anthony Edwards, the chances of Minny trading KAT increases. What/how much it would take to get him is the question. With Toronto, I think one of Siakam or Anunoby is gone this off-season. The Jazz will be a fire sale with Gobert being the most likely gone. I don’t think the Clippers move PG until they see a fully healthy team with Kawhi back.
can't think of a more perfect fit for this team than OG but i don't think Toronto would trade him before Siakam. Especially given the contract situations. ya PG is a pipe dream.
Minny is simply stupid the way they use (or not use) Towns. Towns should be playing power forward like Dirk Nowitzi. People who say he should stay in the post to score (like Charles Barkley) are just dumb.
I do think Winslow would be a nice bench player for Billups, assuming he's only one of a couple who are poor perimeter shooters. But yeah, if he's a filler linchpin in a trade that brings back a good player, Blazers don't look back if they trade him, he's fairly replaceable. For instance, bring back RHJ on a vet minimum deal
I just can't get over that 2017 and how big a fuckup it was and how many opportunities the Blazers missed in a single draft: 10 SAC Zach Collins 13 DEN Donovan Mitchell 14 MIA Bam Adebayo 15 POR Justin Jackson 19 ATL John Collins 20 POR Harry Giles 22 BRK Jarrett Allen 23 TOR OG Anunoby 26 POR Caleb Swanigan 27 BRK Kyle Kuzma 29 SAS Derrick White 30 UTA Josh Hart 42 UTA Thomas Bryant 45 HOU Dillon Brooks the 2013 draft was Portland's biggest missed opportunity since the 1984 draft. But 2017 might have been the most mismanaged Blazer draft it's going to be hard to trade him with that contract: would Utah have to add some major incentive to leverage a team into accepting that contract?
Warriors are looking at 52.8 million in luxury tax. I think we should make a run at Green as they have his position covered with a couple youngsters. They will need to shed salaries. There isn't another team that hits 20m in luxury tax.
i have said here ad nauseum and even argued with people (maybe with you, can't remember) that 2017 draft was Olshey's biggest black mark, not the summer of 16. i was on this very forum in the 2017 draft thread begging for us to draft OG with one of our picks. We effectively passed on him twice.
Yeah next season. They could trade Wiggins first not doubt about that. They have Kuminga & Wiseman to play as well.
