OK, but when was the last time Pop held his best player out for multiple games, when that player was healthy?

Wait, I'll get my log book and tell you the exact date and time...nah..who cares? Who said he held them out? It's well known he paces Duncan, Parker and Ginobli and more so the last 2 years but really, this is meaningless. It was a simple point. You know exactly what I meant.

But we're not pacing LMA or Joel... they are hurt.

We know that and it has nothing to do with the point I was trying to make. Bottom line is if there were a time of the season to season the bench and (fill in the blank) LaMarcus, Joel and Meyers, then this is it. Resting...that's the evil term I used that seemed to collide with rehab although they could both happen at the same time in my experience. Not playing LA through pain or discomfort to insure he's fresh and 100% for the playoff stretch. This all started from a comment about what a lousy team we are with LA on the bench. I think that's a shallow point of view but he's welcome to it.

So saying the Blazers aren't a good team without LMA on the court is a shallow point of view? OK. Expand on your thoughts as to why the Blazers are a good team without LMA. Tonight's win was tough, but fun to watch. I watched Utah, and wondered how they had even won 19 games up to this point.

Eh. That's a groin pull, and he'd be chastised along with the organization if they tried to play through it (and you saw it when he did try... he was putrid.) I think it was more out of necessity then timing, IMO.

yeah, pretty shallow in my opinion. expanding on why...Wes, Dame, Nico, Rolo and Mo stepping up with contributions from guys who came in really, really cold like Will, CJ, Dorell, Allan, TRob and Victor. I agree it was a fun 4th qtr tonight. Guys stepped up. The more burn the bench gets, the better suited they will be down the stretch to keep the starters fresh..that's the expanded view. Utah can play some good games. They had guys step up tonight as well. Every team has slumps and when they do, they need support from the fan base, not bashing.

Minnesota just destroyed Utah in Utah and Love had a triple double. Can we beat them without Aldridge and Freeland?

Probably not. Love could hit 50 tomorrow.

Sure we can! Love will get big numbers but somebody always does, you just shut down the rest of the team offensively and have a good shooting night, then you beat them.

Jermaine O'Neal has team highs of 17 points and 12 rebounds. He wanted to be a Blazer. We could really use him now.

Game notes:Pekovic practiced Friday and worked out hard Saturday and may be ready to return to the court in the next couple games

I would prefer that he did not play. The match ups with he and Love and Portland only having one player (Lopez) with any size would be tough. I hope he takes one more game off, but I bet he plays.

Jermaine had that great block on Chandler Parsons yesterday. I really wished we did sign him. :sigh:

    he finished with 23/13 tonight.

I completely agree! I wanted us to get him last summer. Was sick when we traded him to Indiana for an old Dale Davis and he went on to be an allstar.

Or Mo could get into it with him and get him ejected early! Worked on Bogut once!

Bogut didn't get ejected, and it was in the 3rd quarter... hardly early.

My bad, it was Mo who was ejected and Bogut got a tech..and it was in the 3rd qtr which IMO is "early" trouble..glad you're on top of these things.
