Andre Miller did not score 52 in the playoffs. It was a regular season game.

    "Simple Ratings"

Without going through and doing the work Im guessing we are one of the few if not the only team that has all of our starters in the plus. And just as a disclaimer this was not intended to rip on Mo although the numbers are interesting.

As our bench gets better, our starters will look worse, yeah?

Your boy is a great fantasy basketball player, so I have no problem with him starting. I do have a problem with Griffin starting but won't lose any sleep over it.

Do i just need to make not a Minnesota fan part of my quote section? Getting sick of being accused of rooting for their crap teams.

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

It's actually fairly common. GSW has all five starters in the top 28 (with Bogut at +5.7 being their "worst" starter). Most winning teams have at least 4 and in many cases all 5 starters with a positive Simple Rating. Even teams that struggle to hit .500 like MIN and WAS (now that Webster is starting in place of the injured Beal) have all 5 starters with a + Simple Rating. I didn't check all the teams, but based on the one's I checked, I'd estimate around 25% of all teams have 5 starters with a positive Simple Rating - although some teams current starting line-ups (ATL, LAC, etc.) have been disrupted by injury.

    Mike Barrett @blazermb
According to Elias, @mowilliams leads the entire NBA in assists in the 4th quarter (65).

    Mike Barrett @blazermb
In "3-pt field goals in late-game pressure" category, @Dame_Lillard is #1 in the NBA with 19. @nicolas88batum is #2 with 14.

I am getting sick of Durant. He is just on such a roll right now. I thought OKC would lose a few without Westbrook, but Durant just won't let them.

It is pretty much set in stone that boring Scott Brooks will coach the all star team and play our guys like 2 minutes.

Smart coaches play their rival teams players more and rest their own during the ASG. If anything we should see more of LMA and Dame if Brooks coaches.

    NBA.com/Stats @nbastats
16 @NBA teams are averaging 100+ PPG (Detroit right on cusp at 99.7). '94-95 was the last time 16+ teams averaged triple-digit scoring

    Anthony Davis is insane

    Hypothetical

Would you trade Aldridge for Davis straight up?

Hypothetically, if people were robots run entirely by their stats? Fuck yes. Who doesn't want 10 more years of monster play? My worry would be injuries, but fuck it.

Would it basically ruin our season because people are wet sacks of emotion? Probably.

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

You're talking about one season where the Blazers aren't good enough to win a championship. The defense and bench just aren't good enough.

There's going to be a point in the next couple years where Anthony Davis will be better than Aldridge. I'm confident in making that statement.

Love Aldridge, but Davis' ceiling is just that high.

Who wouldn't you trade for Anthony Davis is a better question, outside of Lebron/Durant/maybe George I don't think there is a player i'd rather have then Davis as my franchise player going forward. With that being said it depends what the goals are when trading for Davis because he would make us worse this year and next year but better down the line so if the Organizations goal was to win in the next two years then I wouldn't.
