Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

Curry was just short of the quadruple double with 22 pts, 8 reb, 9 ast, 9 TO, 5 stl. This is just 24 hours after posting unprecedented numbers in 44 minutes on the road in Miami whilst leading his team to a road victory over a 100% healthy Miami heat team. The Warriors are the only western conference team to defeat the Heat in Miami since the Big 3 came together, and they've done it twice. Curry also assisted the game winning shot in tonight's game. Dude is a lock to start the all-star game at this point.

If the Blazers still have the best record in the west Wes and Batum will be in the conversation too.

I doubt it. There are only two players that will be seriously considered and that's Dame & LA.

It depends on the couch on if he would start. If the coach is stotts/Scott then its up to them on who would start for the injured CP3.
Curry is just plain flat nuts. He will go down as one of, if not the best, shooters of all time.

Blah blah blah. Dallas won 2 in Miami when it mattered. The 2011 NBA Finals. Curry is a fine player. Lillard is better and his team has a better record. That's basically what the Blazers are. A better version of the Warriors. We're better at every position, bench, and coach.

Quick look on BBREF says the Jazz, Thunder, Blazers, Grizzlies, and Mavs have all won in Miami in the regular season since that team came together.

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

Huh? Where did you get that piece of misinformation?

In 2010-11 the Heat lost 4 home games to Western Conference teams, and none of them were the Warriors (UTA, DAL, POR and OKC). Plus they lost twice at home in the finals to DAL. DAL really owned the Heat that season. They were 2-0 against them in the regular season and beat them in the finals 4-2.

In the lockout shortened 2011-12 the Heat only lost one home game to a Western Conference team, but is wasn't GSW, it was MEM. Due to the lockout, they only played 9 home games against Western Conference teams that season.

In 2012-13, there only regular season home loss to a Western Conference team was to GSW. They also lost one home game to SAS in the finals.

So, GSW was neither the first Western Conference team to beat the Big 3 in Miami, nor are they the only Western Conference team with multiple road wins in MIA during the Big 3 era (DAL has done it 3 times).

    Damn, beat me to it!

And DAL (twice) and SAS have beaten the Heat in MIA in the finals during that time.

I don't think that would count as QD if he had 10 boards, 10 assists and 10 turnovers.

If it was up to the coaches, he should. But with the NBA allowing idiots to vote, he won't. Thats why the NBA voting needs to be weighted.

D'Antoni is going to make Kendall Marshall look like a fucking MVP.

We should have picked that kid up when he was waived.

20 points 8-12 shooting, 15 assists and ONE turnover, to go with 6 boards. I would have loved to see him coming up with our other young guys.

Oh, he's in a system that will make him look amazing, but I still would have liked to have seen us take a flyer on him. The dude was dumped for nothing. We could have waived Watson and picked him up.

@nbastats: Over all teams' last 11gms, @warriors & @Raptors tied for best record (9-2). They also rank 1-2 in DefensiveRtg over that span (94.5 & 95.6)

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 Around the NBA thread

I was being semi-facetious in response to Blazer Fanatics' post which selectively pointed out negative stats and facts and left out all of the amazing shit Curry's done over the last two days.

The note about the Heat not losing to any western conference teams at home was from the W's broadcast. Maybe I interpreted it wrong? I dunno and I'm not going to waste any time looking into it.

I think you might be thinking of the fact that GS has scored the most points against the Heat since the big 3 have been together.
