So, does that mean you'd pass on Al Horford, too? You do realize the only team that's beaten the Hawks in the playoffs the last two years is CLE, right? They have this guy LeBron, who's pretty good.

Would you also pass on Anthony Davis? His team hasn't gotten anywhere in the playoffs either, when they've actually made the post season.

I guess that was supposed to be some kind of insult. Just because Kyle Lowry is not better than Damian Lillard doesn't mean he sucks. I'm not sure why you're so against adding another all start level player to our roster.

Milsap makes 19 mil per for the next 2 yrs, I'd rather give up nothin and go after a FA C. IMO no way is he worth 19 mil per AND having to give up value to get him, no way no thx

 

I've been saying all along that Horford is my top FA target by far.

Prob with Horford is that I believe the Max for him is near THIRTY MIL per, I like him a lot, but at that price once again no thx as it cripples us with CJ getting at least 20 mil next summer. Horford 28-30 mil, Lillard 26 mil, CJ 22 mil? 3 players at 78 mil? If Horford was 26/27 maybe, at 30 (june 3) I'd rather pass

 

This summer we need to add another starter on this team either pf or a center. I think between Harkless and Aminu can handle SF position plus both can back up the 4 position. Plum I would be put on trading block. Why I say him not Davis I think could get more from that trade. Plus I like Davis coming off the bench.

 

Horford is a 9 year vet. He qualifies for the 7-9 year vet max, which is approximately 30% of the cap. If the CAP is around $92M as expected, that would make his max around $25.8M.

Whiteside is a 4 year vet. He qualifies for the 0-6 year vet max, which is approximately 25% of the cap. $21.5M.

Howard is a 12 year vet. He qualifies for the 10+ year vet max, which is approximately 35% of the cap. $30.1M.

 

Atlanta can offer Horford a 5 yr "approx" 146 mil deal if they max him

Sure seem to be some good guys available in the 40's; Hammonds is intriguing, seems to be a slow learner and not a consistent motor, but is he finally starting to get it? One thing I notice is his weight is now up 28 pounds from what you have it listed.

And even in the regular season, aminu has better numbers defensively than millsap when it comes to perimeter defense. Are we likely to have a look at Bazemore? That'd mean moving Aminu permanently to 4 and sharing minutes between Bazemore and Harkless at 3 but he'd be coming on the back of a good season. Athletic too.
