Fun stat that kind of belongs here:

When Lillard is a +2 or better during his shifts in the game, the Blazers are 31-3. He doesn't have to dominate, we just do a bit better than the opponent while he's in the game. If he's a +9 or better, we're undefeated (20-0).

Much more importantly—and this speaks to Lillard's game management and "intangible" leadership—is that there is no strong positive correlation between any of his individual performance stats and wins. FGM, FGA, 3PM, 3pA, FG%, 3P%, even AST or FT% (did you know he's got 30 games of 100% FT?)... none of it gives us a strong positive correlation to wins like simple "when he's on the court we do better" leadership.

 

I predicted the worst season. I own it and won’t make excuses. I did not see this late season performance coming. I did however defend both Stotts and Neil all season. I love how they are playing and give a big hat-tip to the team.

After 66 games into the schedule the Blazers currently sit 40-26, 14 games above .500 and 3rd Place in the Western Conference, and padding ourselves with a bit of a cushion. With 16 games remaining, the Blazers will likely need to win 1o games to keep this 3 seed spot. If we could go 10-6 the rest of the way, we would finish the season with 50 wins. This looked like a tougher feat a week ago, but now looks very attainable. Looking more like 51-52 wins now, though alot of tough teams still ahead.

We have to win 13 out of 16 to reach my 53 win total. Doesn't seem likely.

 

Honestly, if we beat teams with a worse record than us, we’ll do it.

 

I originally predicted 55 wins over on O=Live (Boo, hiss, hiss). I must have thought they'd be playing all season like they are now. Well, they didn't play like they are now for a long time so I'm going to have to admit that whoever predicted 50 wins is probably going to be pretty close to the actual number.

 

How the fuck did that happen?
As chairman of the prediction committee, I might have to deem @BonesJones ineligible.
