Portland isn't going to make the playoffs this year. There are too many blatant issues. If Lillard isn't playing at an MVP level, we don't have a shot.

Let's start focusing on the draft in the summer.

Who do I need to watch in CBB this season? Is it considered a good draft or a week one?

But he is playing at an MVP level. It's an 82 game season. We're 4.5 games out of first place with 71 games to play. Even last year, we went through a 1-6 stretch and we still made the WCF. See the long term. See the easier schedule in the future, especially at home where we will start to play better. We've only played one team that didn't make the playoffs last year. Finally, remember, if we tread water and stay in it, Nurkic, Collins, and maybe Pau come back. Plus we have assets to trade at the deadline. Keep your head up. But yes, we must always be prepared for the draft lol.

I’m excited to see whose out there but I’ll say we should trade our lottery pick for immediate help for the sake of Dame

wut?

Sacramento Kings
Dallas Mavericks
Atlanta Hawks
Sacramento Kings

Portland has 4 wins and those came against teams with a combined 15-25 record. Blazers have only played 4 teams with winning records

and after all the talk about Portland's killer schedule, at this point, the Blazers have had the 17th hardest SOS:

15 Orlando Magic
16 New Orleans Pelicans
17 Portland Trail Blazers
18 Cleveland Cavaliers
19 Boston Celtics

it's about to get a lot harder though

We gonna have a nice pick this year - maybe top 10.

That'll be nice actually. Build a nice young nucleus with Collins, Ant, and Little. It'd be nice to make the playoffs if we're healthy but if not this isn't a bad consolation prize lol

We should be top 10 at this rate and you can get some talent in that range. I fear though that we will drop to 11-13 range which is not that promising most of the time.

Portland desperately needs a backup PG that can run the team. Any under-rated players we could pick up in the 2nd?

Haven’t we traded most of our second rounders for the foreseeable future?

I don't watch College basketball, so I have no clue.

But I'm willing to be that, even with a top-10 pick, Neil Olshey will completely fuck it up. Instead of drafting a position of need....a Forward who can shoot reliably and play Defense.....he'll draft some tiny ass player from Butfuckwhere University, who will take years to develop, and probably won't have an ounce of defensive prowess in them.

Like Nassir little from North Carolina, who is a defensive player, or Zach Collins from Gonzaga...?

Drafting has been his best skill... He's drafted well the past few years...

There's literally no forward that fits the bill in this years draft other than McDaniels. Avdija is the closest thing as he's great offensively but defensively he's questionable.

Theres not the hype of a guy like Zion or whatever but a few guys will pop up in the next couple months.

I’d like either of the Washington boys (Stewart/McDaniels), Avdija sounds interesting don’t know much about him though.

Currently #14 in the West and #8 in the Lottery....but very close to #5. That should be quite a good player or a solid asset.

We don’t have the cap space for it to be a true asset sadly (draft day) unless you wanna package it with CJ.

So, player it is! Lol which is what we should do anyway. It’s time to look at the Blazers post prime Dame, adding another high level young man to Simons, Collins, Little, and Nurk is gravy.
