Am I wrong in thinking that he'd probably be better off trying to make 2 separate deals than a single one? Like, 14+26 for 10, and then 10+30 for 7 (or something like that).

I think you're absolutely right that that would be the way to go.

Im hoping Saddiq Bey is available at 16 but I think Spurs will take him if he drops to 14. The other team that is extremely high on him is GS and they could trade down to get him.
We could plug and play this guy from day one.

I think a great debate would be Saddiq Bey vs Pokusevski. Bey is someone that can come in and play immediately (although I’m not sure he would in Portland) and will probably be at least a decent player for his career. He’s relatively safe. But then you have someone like Poku, who most likely will not play in the beginning of his career. However his upside is far greater than Bey’s; better athlete, more fluid, greater skillset, younger.

Personally, selecting in the middle of the first, I would go with the upside since it really isn’t a make or break selection.

Are we going all in on keeping the Dame era window open? IMHO, drafting someone like Pokusevski is running up the white flag.

For Dames sake I go with Saddiq.

Knowing how Stotts operates, it would take multiple injuries, or a complete collapse in play from multiple players, for him to get on the court as a rookie. He’s not benching Ariza, Trent, or a healthy Hood. Then you’ve got other wings like Nas that will get dibs just based on being in the system longer. Maybe he can play if you dumped Ariza, but I don’t see how Dame would be happy that the team is dumping a proven vet he actually knows for a rookie he’s never met.

I’d rather take a chance on someone with an all star ceiling, even if it means waiting three years.

Im thinking Ariza and possibly Naz will be included in a trade and Saddiq, Hood and GTjr will all play with Hood and/or GTjr playing instead of CJ if he's traded or a they can back up the 2 and play 3. Saddiq shoots well enough to play some stretch 4 and 3.

Not sure but possibly included with CJ for 4/5. Or maybe for a veteran back up PG.
    Maybe for future picks?
Maybe they trade away 16 and some too?

If Olshey finally unhitched his wagon from CJ I would be absolutely shocked but I'd also be incredibly elated. Obviously if he were traded for a post it would need to be a 4 who can score and defend both the perimeter and the inside.

    16. Portland Trail Blazers: Aleksej Pokusevski (Olympiacos II, PF, 2001)
    1. One team figures to find Pokusevski's potential worth the risk, and we're hearing Portland could be interested. At 7'0", he projects as a forward with unique shooting and passing skills, as well as active shot-blocking ability.

Wasserman seems pretty plugged in, we’ll see how well in two weeks. I’d be doing backflips if this happened, and I don’t even know how to do one.

Cole Anthony is most definitely the one guy I don't want.

Of course with my track record, that means he'll end up the next Donovan Mitchell...

    Nesmith.

Honestly think shooting is his only NBA level skill and I don't buy it being elite.
