I was looking forward to watching Sochan with the Spurs. I think he's going to be a real solid player.

CJ announcing the Grizzlies Nets game.

Hes not a bad commentator. Cool to listen to. He just gave Tony Allen credit for “changing the trajectory of his career” after having played against his defense in the playoffs. Said that series was part of winning most improved player.

Not sure how the ‘points’ are calculated, but look who’s tied for first place -

Man, that puts a lot of pressure on this last game. Everything was fun and games until this point.

at the bottom of the standings it says POINTS : Quarter Points So I assume number of quarters won? But I can't find anyplace that says it means anything as a tie-breaker.
    This is what I've seen:
    Two teams tied:

    1. Head-to-head matchup: If those two teams played each other in one of the prior four matchups, the winning team earns the higher seed.

    2. Point differential: The team with the greater point differential through four games receives the higher seed.

    More than two teams tied:

    1. Point differential: The team with the greatest point differential through four games receives the higher seed.

    2. Random drawing: The higher seed will be determined by a “coin flip.”

If summer league ended with the above standings I guess there would be a coin toss involving the Blazers and Grizzlies since the have the same record and point differential. (I'm only counting the teams that have played 3 games).

Points come first, then the other tie breakers, so Portland is ahead of Memphis. But in all reality, how stupid of a standings system do you have to have to have an 0-3 team (San Antonio) ahead of a 2-1 team (Boston)? Makes those SL championship rings even more worthless.

The two teams that we beat are ahead of us.... that's some bullshit.

They're only ahead of us in differential. If sorted by "points", we're tired at the top.

I clicked on Points and it puts them in a 4 way tie but i looked at it closer. that 8 is "Points in a Quarter". If you go by PGG they are way down the list. Differential has them tied for 3rd in Vegas?

Here's a question- Do they include the Utah and Golden State tournaments in this? You're going to end up with Lakers and Kings if they do?

...this person must not own a smartphone -- it's possible to take a phone call without the screen looking like you're on the call. You can clearly see him using an app then looks at incoming call and hits accept call -- so he answered without closing the app. :dunno:

Yeah, I didn't think he was actually pretending to be on a call, but my initial reaction was to laugh at the idea.

I can only imagine being a kid in Vegas just signing a brand new NBA contract. Glad he's only 19. That could get real expensive.

That's what i thought as well but I just wasn't sure enough to post that? I have an I phone and yes it can accept a call while i'm posting on S2.
