I don’t think there was official summer league when Kobe came out. I remember Jermaine playing and they were in these sketchy LA summer leagues.

Why are the comments turned off? I have little respect for this feature and those whom employ it. So, if you are reading this Trailblazers media dipshit, stop being a fucking pussy/dick.

I'm sorry, I mean to cite the actual interview published by the Trailblazers on youtube.

Are we actually expecting Keon Johnson to play this year? Or is he just a practice body? Trade Filler?

Just don't see where any minutes are for him. He would be 3rd strong SG at best and likely 4th.

Probably should just keep him and see if he developps. Might only see very limited minutes or play in garbage time, but I was rewatching highlights of him for the past year and he does have some good looking moves. He's only 20 too so might as well keep him around.

Johnson is good to keep, trade … but unless he’s showing he deserves it in practice and work outside of games, it’s hard to see him getting any minutes. And if he isn’t by the trade deadline, I hope he gets a shot for a team that has fewer guards.

I think he’s getting slept on. In Billups’ system he’s a wing, although he also flashed as a passer last season. Hes got hints of the two elements Chauncey values the most: defensive ability and playmaking. and hes not even 21 yet. Outside of Sharpe I’d say he’s the guy I’m most looking forward to watching in summer league.

I'm looking forward to watching all the guys that are returning and seeing if and how they've improved from the end of last season.

He's not good enough to start in Summer League? You've got to be kidding.

I saw Sharpe at 6'6" if true then he can play SF. Sure it's not the ideal 6'8" or 6'9" but with his wingspan it's close enough and the dream is to have Dame, Ant, and Sharpe all on the floor together with Ant and Sharpe reaching their potential.

Didn't he have measurements at the combine though?

Good to see Didi at 215. That is bigger than most guards we have.

Wouldn't it be nice if Brown really exploded and we had a really serious forward rotation? I still want a backup Big and sure a top-shelf PF would be amazing, but I'm actually not that displeased with our lineup right now. Lots of youth and potential and decent size (want more of course) and finally we have really good defenders GP II, Hart (he's not as good as some say), Winslow, Grant, Nurkic, and Little. If Brown, Sharpe, and Ant all develop we could really have something here. Also, Little is still young and can develop. Things aren't as grim as some say. Sure we aren't contending next year unless Sharpe just explodes on the scene as our starting SF, but I think we are not bad.

Keegan off to a good start.
    Pippen Jr. not so much.
Jovic with a good performance for once.

Here's the deal..The Blazers have a lot of catching up to do to even be considered a strong bet to make the playoffs.
Teams like Utah, Lakers will most likely struggle, Denver is gonna be the 5 seed until the end of time...Dallas could go either way,...
Point is, there will be opportunities, but the league is just loaded with quality, it's everywhere.
    Even got some in RipCity.
