    The gaslighting is top tier. The fact the vice president has suddenly adopted a fake accent may not be consequential in a serious way, but, it is certainly notable and points toward dishonesty. The fact KJP and the media are pretending it’s not strange at all is very strange in of itself. They are just telling you all to simply ignore it.

    It's called targeting your speech to your audience. Trump does it. While many on here will disagree with this, Trump is not a stupid person. He just talks in a rambling incoherent manner so his followers will think he's one of them.

    It’s just code switching my god every person of color has to do it. It’s not dishonest, it’s not gaslighting, it’s not underhanded and sneaky. It’s apparently a thing because conservatives are fucking racist.

    That's a good point actually. I've heard of that before but being so white I'm almost clear I never really had to think about it.

    It really doesn't bother me at all. There are a lot of other reasons that I don't trust her (the same as most politicians). I just know that I trust her hell of a lot more than I trust Trump.

    Not quite. People in marginalized groups have to learn lingo and speech patterns of dominant culture but use their own cadences among themselves. It's not just Black people. I know my speech patterns are slightly different in an all Jewish group than in a mostly goyische group.

    Looking for Trump in Oregon’s Voters’ Pamphlet? You won’t find him.

    Former President Donald Trump has once again missed a chance to submit a statement for Oregon’s widely-distributed Voters’ Pamphlet, which was released Tuesday. He will still appear on the ballot.

    Oregon sends a Voters’ Pamphlet to all households ahead of elections. Candidates don’t have to appear in the pamphlet, but for a fee of $3,500 for presidential candidates, it’s a cheap and easy way for candidates to get their face and a 325-word statement in front of the state’s 3 million voters. (Local candidates pay less; the fee is only $600 for a city or county candidate).
