That sucking sound you were hearing was the Clippers. They are currently down by 53. The score is 89-36 and the Clippers have been playing their starters.

With the way they've performed tonight, they certainly don't deserve to get laid.

In all seriousness, this performance by the Warriors is troubling. They were supposed to have an adjustment period and were supposed to miss the bench guys they lost. Instead, they already appear to be firing on all cylinders.

Yeah, dear god. Even for a meaningless preseason game that is pathetic. Clippers are hot trash, no way anybody puts them above the Blazers for their next power rankings, right?

The Celtics starting unit looked really good tonight. Granted, it was the Sixers, but the Thomas - Horford pick and pop/roll combo is going to be a problem for teams and Crowder looks like more confident spot-up shooter. Jaylen Brown made some wow plays as well.

I think Stevens is going to have to stagger Thomas and Horford quite a bit to help out the offense when they go to their bench though.

There is an old story about Bobby Orr when he first came into the league. He was so good that the other players couldn't control the puck and he'd score to 2 and assist on the other goals. He was playing in a different league so, Bobby Hull said to the referee, "let him play with the puck he had first period. Just give us another puck." That's what we should do with Golden State. Let them play for the Larry O'Brien Trophy in a league of say.... I don't know---two teams. And the rest of us can win the Harvey Milquetoast Trophy for Realistic Expectations. /s

You would think that this was a completely unimportant game. It was a preseason game, and the first one at that. However, both Chris Paul and Blake Griffin are UFAs at season's end. After this game, there is no freaking way never-even-been-to-the-conference-finals Chris Paul squanders the rest of his career in LA.

tldr; CP3 was probably going to leave Clipperland anyway, but this seals it, imho.
