He did get away with some undercuts, but many of the Harden 3 pointers, and at least one from CP3 were offensive fouls IMO. Live by the cheat, die by the cheat.

Another shitty shooting performance from Playoff Harden. 9 for 28. Pathetic. If it isn't the step-back 3, it's driving to the rim to initiate contact. Still amazing that they were still in position to win the game.

It was pretty poor officiating in that game against both teams.

There's nothing dignified about picking yourself off the court after flopping 20x a game. Its getting to be regoddamndiculous and I hate that part of the game. They should call techs for flopping but it's hard to call.

Meh... IMO Harden committed two offensive fouls on this play. The push-off is obvious, but not my point. Who jumps almost 3 feet forward on a step back three? Ok, he is allowed to jump however he wants and he has a right to his landing space. BUT the natural landing space on this shot is still past the three point line if you watch his center of gravity. Yet his feet end up way inside the three point line in Green's landing space. The whole thing is a farce, designed primarily to draw three FT's. The rotating backward, falling down, kicking forward of feet is completely artificial. Offensive foul.

Someone explain to me how this is a foul...

Harden starts his shot with his legs behind him, and then after he shoots it, he throws his legs out in front of him. It looks to me like he's trying to draw that contact.

It's a sweep and sway, its not unnatural to the game.

But i would like to see that go uncalled.

If you watch him shoot a wide open three, his feet usually do end up a few feet forward from take off. So I think this one is a defensive foul. But if Harden kicks his legs in any unnatural way (which he does often) and there is contact, it should be called an offensive foul and any made three should be taken away.

Agreed. He league has gone too far in trying to protect the shooter.

Here is one by Chris Paul. From this angle it looks like a defensive foul. But if you watch the slow motion replay on your DVR from behind Chris Paul, he bends his body in a completely artificial way in order to stick his butt way over to the right. Without that, Livingston may have avoided all contact. Therefore I would call this an offensive foul and take away the made three. If you want to cure this BS you have to call offensive fouls. It's not enough to no call.
