Wow I just looked at the standings. There are 6 teams above 70% wins, with the 7th being almost there.

my exact feelings. Yeah, of course I want the top seed. FIrst and foremost, I want in, and easiest path is a division win.

I'm rooting for GS. Just because I really can't stand Westbrick.

Rondo needs to be paired with good vets and scorers. He will have that in Dallas and I think they'll definitely benefit from it.

with Rondo in Dallas the point guard pool just got deeper in the west. Left the Mavs without any bigs to speak of behind Chandler though.

With the addition of Rondo, Dirk is now the Mavs lowest paid starter. Kudos to him for wanting to win and to Cuban who promised to add players around him with the extra money, and followed through.

I think Rondo will be a good fit. He doesn't need to score. He gets tons of assists. Good defender. Frankly, I'm worried.

The beatwriter in Houston believes Ainge will flip Wright - "that's why they needed to get this deal done before Friday."

Don't think Wright can be traded in combination with another player. It would have to be two separate deals.

I'm not sure why Boston wouldn't want to keep Wright. Doesn't make sense to me why they want to flip him, unless they expect to get another draft pick for him.

Main reason I could think is that wright is expiring. If he could get young asset with control, would be more beneficial for rebuild
