Maybe people can shut up now about offense not winning championships, or jump shooting teams not winning etc....

Well, at least we're seeing that healthy jump shooting, high octane offensive teams can defeat beat up opponents. Beyond that, I guess we'll have to wait until next season and hope for a finals with two healthy teams.

I hope Steve Kerr trolls Phil Jackson hard.

I think Kerr gets credit for figuring this out for this style of play...He's one of those smartest man in the room types, I'm thinking.

In the end it comes down to getting the team to buy into playing D. He has done that with little to no impact in hindering the potency of the offense.

They won the West, and that is really all that matters. The East is pathetic. The cavs only mustered 53 wins in the East.

Every single team they played in the playoffs had its starting PG either missing or banged up. I don't know if a team has ever had an easier path to a title than the Warriors. I think they were the best team this year, but they also prove my basic position that it's the best healthy team that wins the title.

Steph Curry has yet to meet a defender as good as Scottie Pippen in his prime.

Is it the fact that they are the best healthy team? Or that they are THE healthy team?

At this point, B, but I don't doubt that they were also the best team all season. Their record earns them that. Still, they did have a charmed season with no major injuries so the point can be debated.

I think who wins depends on which era's officiating you get. 1990's officiating with handchecking allowed? Golden State scores 85 a game and loses by 15 every night on their way to a gentleman's sweep. 2015 officiating where EVERY guard gets Jordan Rules whistles? The Bulls take it to six but lose.

Yeah, but how much would Jordan score with today's rules? Easily 40 ppg, probably 50+, and he might foul out GS' entire back court.

Plus, didn't "Jordan Rules" refer to the hard fouls teams took on MJ to keep him from posterizing everyone, not the leeway he got the refs in drawing fouls?

His career as a GM says otherwise.

I think the Warriors will sweep... BUT:
the Cavs just won the first half in Oakland with LBJ plus Thompson (whom everybody thought was a TERRIBLE pick) plus (essentially) players other teams didn't want. It would be fun to see if James could take a D-League All-Stars team to the playoffs.

No. Other players, especially prima donna Lakers like Magic Johnson, said that Jordan got favorable treatment. Not as much as Wade later got. Stern encouraged showboats, including Jordan's great finesse highlight moves under the basket.

Meanwhile, everybody talks about the Splash Bros., but Bogut was a #1 pick in the draft and Iguodala was the best player for playoff team in Philly. Barnes was a lottery pick (for a long time predicted to be the #1 pick in his draft). Basically the Warriors had incredible luck with players they got cheap because they were always injured... getting healthy. (I'm including Livingston in this.) You know - the anti-Cavs.

Anyone else think it is really dumb that there isnt a finals logo on the court?
