I know... obviously, I'm a Blazers fan. The ESPN broadcast crew was waxing on about special moments in the Alamo Dome because I guess the Spurs were doing their last game there even though they stopped playing there a while ago (it was also the NBA game with the highest ever attendance). Anyway as the broadcasters talked about the greatest moments in Alamo Dome history they said the greatest was the Memorial Day Miracle... which is one of my least favorite moments in NBA history. Then they decided it would be fun to talk about how that iteration of our team had a few heartbreaks most notably the shot that Kobe hit late in the fourth quarter of game seven of the 2000 WCF that put us away, after we squandered our thirteen point lead we had going into the fourth quarter. I just hated that the broadcast somehow turned to two of our worst moments, one of which had nothing to do with either of the two teams that were playing in the game being broadcast.

Good for them. I'll tell you what's not good for them, they just had 16 seasons where they never even for a game got to this point and during those 16 seasons they haven't made the playoffs. Sometimes it takes perspective to see that we don't have it that bad. Also it goes to show you that if you blow it all up and plan on tanking bringing you back to the playoffs, you might be waiting for a really long time.

Also, note to self: don't hire Vlade Divac as GM.

So are the Lakers stupid for wanting 33 year old player like Bojan Bogdanović? Especially when they are at 19-23 in 13 seed and out of the playoffs. Isn’t he too old? Why would they take that kind of a chance?

If Riley and Spoelstra were willing to do it, then I know it would be wrong for us.

That’s because they suck at drafting. They could’ve drafted Dame or Luka among others. Instead, they took Thomas Robinson and Marvin Bagley.

Everyone misses and I mean every single front office. It's also a matter of drafting players that will fit together when at 19 years old you don't really know which of there skills will become the strongest. It's incredibly hard to build a contender through the draft without getting extremely lucky. The teams that have built dynasties through the draft recently (Warriors and Spurs) had major contributions from late first and second rounders. I'm saying that building a contender around known commodities by adding known commodities is a helluva lot more likely, even with the limitations of the talent and other assets that we currently have than blowing it up and hoping to draft one.

Does this statement surprise anyone? Great players do not make good talent evaluators because they seldom put in the work. I give more credibility to the internet geeks who actually watch all the games/players.

Somehow the Thunder have been winning against good teams with guys like Isaiah Joe and Mike Muscala getting premium minutes. They have a helluva coach

Golden State puts out a starting lineup of Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Kevon Looney, Steph Curry, and Klay Thompson in Chicago.
The Bulls win by 14 and snap their 11-game losing streak.
The Bulls last loss was by 14 at home to the Thunder.

There’s GM’s who trade Malcolm Brogdon for Aaron Nesmith.

How about we fleece a team on a deal for a change
