Does that even make sense? Crazy seems to follow Kyrie wherever he goes.

Yeah I do feel like the biggest overpay of the day was driven by an arms race though. I think the Raptors really tried to keep FVV and he probably would have taken a little less from them to stay but Houston threw down the big offer. So although it was the biggest overpay of the day it was more understandable than let's say Kyrie.

A lot of Monopoly money being thrown around. Maybe it’s best to be a free agent when the class is weak.

How much is Dames extension again? Tyrese is a nice player but that kind of contact makes it hard to get a big 3 (which seems to be required more than not to truly complete).

The new CBA is supposed to make it extremely hard to have a big three.

I can't even imagine Bane's agent asking for MAX with a straight face. I bet MEM made the first (and last) offer.

I'm starting to think the 50/50 owner-player split of revenue in recent CBAs got it a bit wrong... When Desmond Bane is making 10x as much a year as Jordan did the bulk of his career, things don't quite add up. Instead of these massive salary jumps with each new CBA, making last year's max contract stars look like role players, they should have found a way to spread a good chunk of that 50% across retired players. They're the ones who actually earned the league its future money, after all. I don't see why the current guys with lucky timing should get all the benefit, and in such a grotesque way.

Good lord. Just imagine going to bed knowing that no matter what you're making $200 mil.
