Yeah we definitely have to lose out but the Spurs are really playing well. They beat a good Knicks team tonight. I've got the Spurs next game circled. They just need to beat the Warriors and we're tied with the Spurs and the Warriors are one step closer to missing the play-ins.

some of these arbitrary cut-offs are weird....lots of recency bias

look at David Robinson's first 7 seasons:

and he was doing this for Spurs teams that averaged 55 wins/year

Ha! The Blazers just lost by 60. That is SIXTY FUCKING POINTS! Is there a question about whether they can lose the rest of their games?

there isn’t anyone available at #1 that makes 60 point losses palatable, but that’s just me. let’s hope mike schmitz makes this all make sense this summer.

There might be other teams that want to lose just as bad.

that's about to be tested. The Blazers face Charlotte and Washington in consecutive 3-stooges games next week and all 3 teams have good reasons to lose. The question is which teams will be incompetent enough to win

Always with the rational thinking. Can’t we just lose right?

It doesn’t matter how much we lose by, 16 or 60. We are trying to lose and we’re doing just that.

Last night’s win wasn’t palatable. That’s my point.

    And so it begins.
Even the most fervent fans are accepting loses as just the way it is. The losers culture is solidified within the fans. Now just think about how happy you will all be to win 41 games and make the play-in.

How could the Lakers possibly afford another max player?

Don't the Lakers hunt for a third star every summer?

I think they might be losing DLO to free agency?

The Lakers starting Trae Young would not break my heart. Plus they would have to trade $40 million in assets to get him.
Atlanta would want some sort of return. I hope this trade happens

getting rid of Westbrook was equivalent to hiring a 3rd superstar.
