You had hope that the blazers would dump Turners entire contract?

It's still about equivalent to what they gave up. Would I throw in a second rounder or something yeah I would...

You guys realize Brooklyn did that in order to get an additional max slot and you want us to trade multiple assets to get rid of Turner just because you hate him, as we get very little extra benefit aside from maybe being able to keep one of Kanter or Hood?

I think swapping Kyrie for Russell will not work out like they hope. I personally don't think the gap between the two is that much. Kyrie is a bit over-rated.

a bit???? You win the understatement award for the day. :)
I kid, but I'm really not huge on Kyrie, honestly would probably rather have Russell...

ET will have value at the deadline.

Yep. After the deadline passes, we can cut him. Until then, people will have an unrealistic hope that we can trade him (for a reasonable price).

Although... I just had a thought.

Would Atlanta trade Crabbe for ET? I don't think they envision Crabbe being there long term....

That's the beauty of it now. If he can be moved in the off season or the deadline great, if not, he then expires. We have a forum that contains wannabe GM's that need instant gratification and have shown very little patience. These same people were touting the Pelicans after last year about how much better off they are than us and look where they are at now.

and why would cutting him benefit the team? That would be a stupid move. He's not a problem player that hurts chemistry and brings the locker room down and from reports he is a good glue guy on the court and in the locker room. You don't think players don't notice those sort of things and consider it when going to a team?

I don't want to put words into @tester551 's mouth, but...
I think the idea is that if we cut ET, Stotts can't play him.

It would benefit me because than Stotts wouldn't have the option of playing him.

I am sure that is what he meant, and that is why it would be dumb. Turner seems to be the forum whipping boy, but with lack of ball handlers and creators for others cutting him would weaken us and we would still be paying him anyway. If he was a cancer or some sort of troublemaker that would be different.

He was not needed at all on this team. Curry and Hood make his skillset expendable.

No argument, I agree with you. However, the Blazers do seem better when he's not on the floor.

Everyone has their own opinion and as of right now, we don't have Curry and Hood for next year.Neither are the passer that Turner is though and as long as we are paying him, it would make no sense to just cut him.

Its not that I hate ET, I hate watching him play basketball in the system the Blazers have, he doesn't fit at all...
