Kawhi is interesting in these interviews. He seems to care nothing for anything other than himself and winning. He’s a really good basketball player, but honestly I’d rather have Dame, a lot less selfish, understands life and other people is more important than Basketball.
Im all for winning, and I get Kawhi could help literally any team towards winning but if I wanted a guy I would trust to lead my organization on and off the court Im not sure Kawhi would be that guy.

Kawhi seems to be doing a fine job leading the Raptors.

I don't believe he’s the leader of the team, that's been, Lowry.

And im telling you most disagree with you including me. Stop arguing the semantics man.

Geez bones. You have got to stop thinking you are always right with your opinions. Just agree to disagree if you are going to be soooo steadfast.

Most people feel a super team is what it is because of the sum of its parts. If you lose some of the sum, then they aren't as good and wont win. Thus wont get ratings.

If you don't agree just disagree but remember its your opinion and its a pretty minority one.

Do you ever concede a majority opinion as maybe being more logical than yours when you are of the minority, or do you put up a wall and refuse to acknowledge common sense from the majority?

Or lets just do a checklist.

Woukd curry and green be a superteam on thier own? No. Would they win? No

Would kd Nd green be a super team? No. Would they win, no.

Add thompson to either pair. Would they win? Possibly, one did. Are they are superteam? Possibly...did they win?

Now put them all together And its a superteam.

Or another example. Was the lakers a superteam with shaq kobe, malone and payton?
I would have considered that a superteam of sorts, but they didn't win. Thier rating also werent all that. Why? They didnt win.

Winning creates ratings. Take away the third best player on any superteam and there is a chance that team cant win then and this their ratings will fall.

I believe that is the consensus opinion of most.

If you disagree with that, then just say you disagree and move on, however what i stated is pretty logical and i bet could be verified with research.

    Agreed

Wrong. Even Kawhi said lowry is their quarterback.
Yeo. And i agree with you. I think he knows he really slipped up when he said he isnt doing this for the fans....

I mean i get it, but you just don't say that in public in a post game interview!

Being a superteam is a threshold..sometimes you can greatly surpass that. Thats not even what I was arguing though...

You're trying to tell me what I meant and you're arguing with me on it. Thats all I was trying to say and you rambled about it without understanding what I was trying to say. Idc. This conversation was dead a while ago.

Sorry then. Maybe i misread a post or two when i was catching up. It sounded like you were in essence saying a super team could lose their third best player and have it not affect their ratings, or appeal.
If that wasn't the case then my bad i apologize.

That is the case. A superteam is a team thats good enough where - If they lose theirn3rd star theyd still be a contending team. Ehen youre talking about Lakers + Celtics in the 80s, I dont hink they needed to be amything more than front-runners to draw thenratings they did, due to all the other factors that helped them draw ratings. In that case, the difference between contender and super-team wouldnt affect ratings IMO.

You are missing one vital element that is a major factor in the 80’s lakers. The lack of network television in any city other than ny and la.
The ratings they got were because it was americas new city, LA. It was showtime. It was network tele being based in LA.
Back then major media markets meant everything.

Today is a different world and you can watch almost any team playing most of thier games. Back then you either got your home team or ny or la. If your home team sucked, you were watching la.
You cant compare teams of then to now without taking into context how television broadcasting and media markets have changed.

Is this a crack on me or Trailblazers Broadcasting? Cause I have one from HBO Boxing, Golf from the Olympics in Brazil and the US Open as well. There is a TON of work that goes into covering this team for a full season by the way. Regional broadcasts are not eligible for National Emmys, so this is about as high as you can go. We beat the Sounders/Timbers/Seahawks/Mariners and others last night, that's pretty cool if you ask me.
