Talent level has way more to do with how bad we’ve sucked

That’s all it takes to get Garland?

    How about Jerami Grant.
That is about what the #3 in this draft will yield.

They kind of have a Jerami with Jabari Smith. Not sure what the Rockets think they can get who is better than what they have.
They must be thinking # 3 in addition to a couple of their young prospects.

No point for Portland unless Risacher drops.

Or Sarr but I don’t see that happening.

Exactly--unless something crazy happens, I would be pretty surprised if those Frenchies don't go 1-2. As "up in the air" as this draft is, I really think it starts at pick #3; there are several players I could realistically see in that spot.

I'd do it just to rid ourselves of the black hole and his salary. I'd pretty easily take #3 for Grant. Might be able to move up with 14 to get someone at 1 or 2.

Sixers floated rumors today. They're going after Paul George, and willing to offer max contract to Jimmy Butler. (don't take the mini max and a Morey promise)

I think we are actually in a good spot because there’s a bunch of guys from 3-6 that I don’t even want.

Yeah but can you get the second pick for 3&7?
    Is that even worth it?

I'd not pay to trade up in this draft

Clingan and Topic are two who come to mind for me. Both are excellent players but we don't need them.
Plus have the Clingans and Vulcans ever played well with one another?

The thing is, I think the first two teams should switch places. Risacher makes more sense for Atlanta, and Sarr makes more sense for Washington. Now, Atlanta could just TAKE Risacher, but I wonder if they'll try to get something out of Washington.

I think it helps to be ignorant about the players. Ironically, the more you find out, the more you're likely to fall in love with a prospect and forget that VERY FEW of these guys are likely to be difference makers (and the ones that are will take YEARS to get there).

It seems like the Blazers have a few years at least?
