I just rewatched it and no he didn't squeeze but that's obviously putting him in a rear naked choke... it's even under the chin. The "bad choice of how to latch on" is called a gable grip. You don't pull someone away from the action with their throat in the crook of your elbow. Obviously Dray wasn't trying to put Gobert to sleep but he was definitely trying to put him in a position to show him he could. Not an accident. Typical Draymond bullshit. He should be suspended for multiple games because you just can't have guys holding other guys by means of strangulation no mater how tight it got.

It literally says an old quarrel between him and an assistant coach. Not sure there needs to be much more?

He’s a perimeter player who had a bad game. Dame was 3/17 a couple days ago.

Unbelievable. The GS announcers are laughing at Draymond having Gobert in a headlock!

I don't disagree with any of that. It was a terrible decision by Draymond, and very similar to the chest stomping incident where he thought better of it mid-stomp and ended up doing something that looked way worse than it really was. My only issue is with the people calling it a sleeper hold, assault, etc. That's either lack of observational skills or confirmation bias.

Well it's absolutely assault. If you don't believe me, go do that to someone in public and let me know how it turns out.

Lillard with 14 points and 5 assists in the 1st quarter in Toronto. No Giannis tonight.

    Milwaukee leads, 36-20.

Im a little disappointed in Steve Kerr's response. I get defending your players, etc, but Draymond is 100% in the wrong here. And that's not saying that Rudy himself isn't also at fault (tho not to the same degree). Nor is it saying that Klay is an innocent bystander either.

But to act like Draymond just reacted because Rudy has his "hands" on Klays neck is horse shit.

And then to hear the announcers (I assume GSW?) acting like what Draymond did was perfectly ok, was a bit much too.
