Yeah, Scoot has been horrible in that area and with the changes to the NBA game I'm not sure you can have a starting PG be effective that is such a bad shooter. People point to Westbrook, but there were FAR fewer 3pt shots taken when Westbrook was a rookie.

I suppose if we space the floor with 4 shooters and Scoot, then have Scoot drive every possession his shooting isn't as harmful. That sounds more like a backup role though.

At some point this year or this off-season we might just have to plan that Scoot isn't a core piece of the team. Not saying we should cut him or 100% bench him, but we might want to consider taking a PG with our lottery pick if that's the best player. Or we might want to cough up some money for Banton who's been a far more effective player. Or if we trade Simons we might want to be open to a PG coming back in the deal.

Oh you were expecting Scoot to come in and be able to hit 3s?

At this point I’m not sure he’ll develop one. Bruh, I was looking for it to be improved over the offseason and it’s regressed. Teams dare him to shoot it too.

He seemed to have great free throws, a nice stroke, and an intense work ethic, so I was hoping he could yes become someone that shot at least average 3s during his first few years. We're now about a year and a half into his Blazer career with nearly zero improvement, so I'm questioning if he will ever develop that skill.

More concerning than his 3s is his abysmal finishing inside and passes he throws into the stands. I thought he would be elite in these areas but he's below average here as well, which is why he isn't even a good bench level NBA player today.

Again not saying we should cut him or bench him completely or he can't eventually have some improvements. But we're going to be coming up on a time soon where he isn't penciled in as a likely starting PG for this team long term. We may even already be past that point.

There's a few dozen rookies/sophomores that have brighter futures today than Scoot, including 3 on the Blazers.

I think we should sign Pippen Sr. to a 10 day contract.

Grizzlies should have done that last season. And play Junior and senior together. FU, you know who.

In 200 years they will refer to the NBA as three epochs:
    BL - Before Lebron
DL - During Lebron - the 70 years Lebron played including playing with his sons and later his grandsons
    AL - After Lebron

Wolves 2-7 in their last 9….. no doubt in my mind NYC won that trade.

Someone tell me this Warriors roster without Curry has any business being in this game. Tell me it’s talent and not coaching.

They got a 6’3” white dude from Northwestern named Pat Spencer out there getting meaningful minutes. Lindy Waters?

They’ve made this a game with these scrubs.

I see why the Blazers were highly considering taking Amen at 3. Should have stuck with their gut. This is who everybody hyped scoot would be

Is this where someone says "he's still really young"? I mean Amen is a whole year older right?

Amen is elite at 2s and defense, the rocket fans are excited, and they should be.
But, the maligned Scoot is shooting better from 3, has a significantly more assists, and a much better ast/to.

    Yes, Amen plays point.
