    22 PTS | 7 REB | 7 AST

Only 7 rebounds? Did Westbrook sit out that game?

Not so much for the highlight as the title because for a second I was like “Rick Fox over Xavier McDaniel?”

Dude is delusional. He was not a bad three point shooter but his career average was 35.5% and his best season was 38.5% on 3 attempts per game. Steph had a season where he played 5 games and that was his lowest three point percentage but shouldn't count. Other than that one season Steph's worst season from three was 38% on 11 attempts per game and that is the only season he ever had that was below 40%.

Yeah, Tim's game was a lot of fun to watch but he was nothing like Steph.

I mean, no one in this era averages 40 but Tim would? Fuck that.

Maybe Tim was speaking for Shaq? Or Kareem? Or Jordan? or Drexler? Or Dominique? Or Bird? Or Dr J? Or Iverson? Or Kobe? Or Bernard King? Or Karl Malone? Because clearly he's can't be talking about himself.

Grumpy old man opinion - but damn I hate these ugly tournament courts. I am glad ours is the least obnoxious. The entire tournament thing is dumb.

It’s all dumb. NBA Finals, All Star, etc. It’s just entertainment. I like the idea that a team like the Pistons has a chance to go to Vegas and win a trophy. AND while 500K isn’t necessarily a lot for the stars, it’s a lot for guys on the end of the bench. So, winning it for them is good team building. Think how happy Taze Moore and Justin Minaya would be if we won it.

Between the courts, jerseys, team shirts, relentless promo spots, and LL knocking people out, the league sure is trying to make the NBA Cup be a thing. Is it working? I have no idea, but my impression is no one cares other than the players (and perhaps fans) on the one team that eventually wins it. It just feels totally arbitrary in the qualifying stages, which then leads to something fairly meaningless. Make it an actual mid-season tournament, not a scattering of games that affect the rest of the schedule in a way that no one understands.

For the few people who get it, I could buy the argument that it's just entertainment like every other aspect of the game. But, my take fits with everything I've seen and heard personally: very few people get it. It's more of a turn-off than anything.

But I do agree, our Cup court is pretty damn awesome this year, other than the giant trophy.

It would be kind of cool to do something like that. Have the entire NBA show up in Vegas for what would be a League Tournament. Could you imagine how lit that city would be? Make it a 7-10 day tournament and maybe even choose a different city each year. It would absolutely replace the All-Star game weekend.

Probably the biggest concern is that it would also replace the NBA Finals... So many people have clamored for a 1-16 playoff format, the LV Tourney would quite possibly be a more popular format than the big show at the end of the year.

But, this year's All Star game is going to a tourney format, albeit in the form of goofy pick-up games, so there's definitely the foundation in place.

I've been wondering if and when they would pivot toward a tank. They have the 3rd worst record in the NBA 1/4 way thru the season. Zion is out for a while and the team seems way out of sync and injury prone. Ingram will probably walk this summer. They can't go anywhere with their current roster

They haven't even pivoted to the tank yet, and they're doing better at it than we are...
