Beating the Spurs without Duncan and Gionobli? Not swayed...

Because they're beating an incomplete SA team at home? Sure, they won handily and sometimes the Spurs win these games but I don't think they're for real. We'll clock them on Dec 22nd. Already circled on my calendar and probably theirs.

I'll watch the rockets in detail before I make a decision on their legitimacy.

I will say this though, I think Popavich believes his team is fine without HCA. I won't be surprised if they play to stay in the race at the end, and then play for matchups. It's a bold strategy that could leave the defending Champs very vulnerable, opening the door for a new champion in the west.

I did not know that. I wondered how it was possible they got blown out so badly.

"Resting" players 5 games into the season? Gotta keep those old legs fresh I guess.

I actually think Pops is holding back more than resting. It's like a major chess match, just in case Houston meets them in the playoffs. Better to hold your hand close to your chest so Houston doesn't have experience against your full strength during the regular season.

I wouldn't be surprised if he does the same shit against us

Adding Rondo would almost insure the CAVS win the whole damn thing on multiple occasions

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Lebron thrives as the primary ball handler. I think the best idea is to put a guy who defers the ball handling abilities to him. Rondo is not that guy. Plus Rondo will probably veto that trade because he wants to remain with Olynyk.

Kyrie is virtually impossible to trade as a poison pill contract right now.

The Steve Francis comparisons seem to be spot on.

I'd try to talk WAS into a Irving/Wall swap - at least he tries to play defense.

Barry talks as if he was a hall of famer at this game. His critiques and complaints about players games are comical considering he was only good at one thing while he played, guarding the gatorade.

I would try to convince LAC to do CP3 for Irving. Blake and Jordan are still so young. Paul is getting older and they haven't been able to get over the hump. I think adding Paul to Love and LeBron would be insane.

    Most punch able faces:

John Barry, Westbrook, that slippery slim ball "JJ Barerra", Ginger boi Griffin, and Chanlder "dick head" Parsons
