The thing is, until the front office changes they will continue drafting Hall-Of-Fame centers and forwards.

It took the Lakers what, 4 decades or longer? It might be a while before the Spurs are a joke.

I just disagree, they'll never be jokes... but I see a long period of time where they are the Rockets post T-Mac/Yao and pre Harden. Hovering around 42-40.. Can't grab top talent in the draft...

Really? How many hall of fame centers or forwards have they drafted since Duncan? That was almost 20 years ago.

I really wonder if LBJ and Love are going to have the patience to work through this into next year if this team underperformed this year.

If you think there was a shitstorm with The Decision, imagine if they left after this year. But I imagine it's much more likely to get blamed on the coach first.

Maybe Love will bolt, but I doubt LBJ leaves ever again.

Their coach is learning but no excuses Cavs are in a Win now mode. Falls on the Head Coach.
But I think they should look to trade Kevin Love. For more of a role player/defender.
Cavs might honestly win more games starting Marion at the 4 and bringing Love off the bench so he can just shoot and rebound.

Love is a joke. He can score and rebound, but at the expense of his team. He's like the superstar version of hickson

Maybe they should trade Kevin Love for JaVale.

But no really they need to play better defense. Lebron can't do it alone.

Tim Duncan was the no-brainer first pick in the draft in 1997 -- 17 years ago. David Robinson was the no-brainer first pick in the draft in 1987 -- 27 years ago. The Spurs front office brilliantly "earned" the first pick in the draft to select once-a-decade talent Duncan because Robinson was injured, so they tanked. What other Hall-of-Fame centers and forwards have the Spurs continued to brilliantly draft, and how are they going to keep getting multiple no. 1 picks to do so without tanking?

The Spurs have proven to be a great organization to maintain the success they've had. As for their brilliant drafting of hall-of-fame centers and forwards, color me: Not. Impressed.

It seems so obvious to us, why can't others see it?

Because most people and media are attracted to scoring and rebounding. That's why so much media loved the old Suns that played zero defense.

But the true evaluators see right through it. Do you disagree with my "superstar version of hickson?

The best part is when Love turns his back to the guys he's guarding to go to the front of the rim instead to rebound. Boris Diaw roasted him last night. It was hilarious.

Apparently the Spurs are among the teams lining up to make a run at Marc Gasol. That would be a nice way to extend the dynasty. And I think Gasol would find that pretty tempting. After all, he's re-upped once in Memphis, so he's not afraid of hot humid small-market hellholes.

Not at all; I've personally equated him to Shareef Abdur Rahim, but that's basically the same thing :D

At least Shareef could create his own offense.
