    That sucks. I hate seeing that kind of thing. Wish they could just talk to each other and get on the same page.

    Seems like they are using him at a very high rate in order to drive up his trade value IMO.

    I don’t think I agree. Right now he doesn’t have value but did he really not have any value right after the playoffs? They had to get better value than what they just got for Harden on top of everything else they traded for Harden.

    But after the playoffs, he had a player option, so he couldn't have been traded this offseason. Until he opted in, which is when this whole mess started

    Did we ever hear what kinds of offers came in for Simmons? I actually never thought Philly would trade him to Brooklyn because why would you trade one nutball for another nutball? It made no sense.

    Simmons might have more value now than he did then. He was afraid to shot even layups in the playoffs and was not backed up by the coaching staff or players. There was absolutely no way he could return to Philly and had more years left on that monster contract. He then basically sat out a season with questionable back injuries. Still not taking shots in a league where it is almost impossible to succeed if you cannot shoot. Atleast now by taking Simmons you are making less of a financial commitment.
