I think it's memphis. I think Memphis wants to play us as well. We are a much easier matchup because we don't have HCA

It's Memphis if Memphis beats Pacers.

I'm so happy the Thunder missed the playoffs.
Yes it sucks that the Blazers don't get to smash on the Rockettes this year....
But : / I'm okay with not picking on the special children in Houston... Might call the Blazers bullies when we beat them again.

My expectations for this year have been the same sense the 2014 playoffs ended.
Make the playoffs, and push into the second round. Anything after is frosting on the cake.

For the record, I would much rather play Memphis than San Antonio.

If the 2, 3, 5 and 6 teams in the West all could have changed places the last day of the season then how "strong" is the 2nd seed and how "weak" is the 6th seed? The playoffs are going to be great and they are ripe for upsets. Hopefully we can be one of those teams. Although it still makes me wonder how much HCA will play a role if these teams are so evenly matched?

One part of me is uber nervous that were going to get our ass kicked and not even know what hit us against the Grizz in the 1st round and they're going to hand us our ass-less chaps on a silver platter.

The other half of me thinks were going to come out looking for blood. Aldridge finds his stroke and abuses Z-Bo and Lillard finds his stroke and dominates Conley.

I honestly think this series will come down to how well the Blazers play Gasol, and the Gasol/Conley P&R.
If they can slow either of those down, I think the Blazers have a good shot at beating the Grizz.

At least we know it will be a battle of starting units. Both of us have a pretty shitty bench.

Yep Gasol is the key. I think we have a chance if we can keep him at even average games. The other key will be Jeff Green. Although I am pretty happy with Afflalo I would have loved to have gotten Green instead.

I actually think this series will depend on how the refs will allow the physical play on Dame and how Dame can adjust to that physicality.

The refs allowed Memphis to be super physical with us in our games this season.

They didn't not allow us the same latitude.

I don't know about that. their backup guard rotation isn't terrible.
If Nards can pull z-bo out or if Kaman can bang with gasol or Z-bo down low that's going to be an advantage for us. Kufos isn't that great of a player.
CJ is an x-factor. If he provides 10-15 ppg off the bench... That's going to be huge. Forcing Memphis to adjust their defense to stop him from breaking people down 1 on 1 is going to open Aldridlge/Lillard up.

    But as Mags said.

Physical play will also be a deciding factor.

I already have a bad feeling that Calathes is going to hurt us.
