Once again, the first Friday of May is going to be the end of our first round series.

Is this Spurs team the best six seed ever?

Looking @ the matchups... I think I'm a Mav fan.
How sweet would it be to watch the Rockettes fall to dirk.
I'd have a dance party if they lost in the first round.

Agreed. But I'm also a Spurs fan in round 1. I would love to see Rockets & Clips go home early.

My friend has just come up with this site: http://www.ibracket.net/nbaplayoffs

It has a full bracket, rankings, fantasy games and more. He wants users and feedback.

NCAA brackets are all very fun, but nothing of the sort exists for the NBA playoffs. So if you want to get in on the fun, please make your predictions on the site above and see how your predictions rank!

    Thanks!

This isn't playoffs-related (since they didn't make it - haha!) but the Thunder are "considering" shit-canning Brooks.

I like it. I've registered, and I've submitted a bracket.

Do you know if the bonus point for predicting the correct number of games in the series is dependent upon picking the series winner?

Edit--just as a test, I logged out, and then logged back in to see if it saved my picks. It's not showing them as having been saved, even though I've saved them. Ask your friend how I can be certain that my previous submission has been saved.

I think it comes down to health. Were hurt with LMA, who you know they are going to go after his hand since theyv already done that, Batum, afflalo,cj,kaman, Rolo
The Grizz are just as hurt with Conley, will be lucky to be 80% with his foot, same with Allen, courtney lee, Gasol hurt his foot recently, Carter.
This series could easily change with any game since there is a good chance a player will hurt himself and effect his play for the rest of the season anytime they step on the court.
Im going Blazers in 6 because I cant see us winning a game seven in Memphis.

Excellent. Best possible match-up, IMO. Losing sucks, but I'd much rather lose to the Grizzlies than the Rockets. And on the positive side, the Grizzlies give us the best chance at advancing to the second round. This match-up is a win/win in my book.
Win or lose I'm looking forward to watching this series. I would have hated watching a series with the Rockets or Clippers, and as much as I enjoy watching the Spurs...I don't enjoy watching them when they're playing us.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to sit through a bitch fest with Clippers. SAS is just too good and I would much rather face them in the WCF, if that was ever a possibility. The unfortunate situation is the second round. GS looks like a team that is indestructible. It would take a miracle and 100% efficiency to beat them in a 7 game series.

1995 Rockets were 6th seed and won the championship without ev having HCA. No other team has ever done that.

    As in Nick Calathes???

If Nick Calathes beats you, you don't deserve to win. If he's anywhere near the court when it matters, at least 5 Grizzlies have fouled out and/or died.

Have you seen how bad this guy shoots from anywhere further than 3 feet from the basket?

    3-10 - .388
    10-16 - .296
    16-3pt - .182
    3pt - .256

    FT% = .533

The guy is a "shooting" guard and he shoots FTs like Dwight Howard.

I hope we see a LOT of Nick Calathes in this series, but with Conley, Allen, Lee, Green, Carter and Udrih healthy, we won't likely see much of Nick the Brick.

Or, perhaps I misread your post and by "hurt us" you're worried he will injure one of our players by tripping them as they are running past the MEM bench..

This is huge. If the refs continue to let other teams beat Dame up, it's not likely to end well.

I still don't get why refs allow Dame to get hit and grabbed like that. You would think they would try and protect their marketable players more. At least call it fairly

For about 2 minutes, and then they are so quiet that you can hear everything over the PA...not impressed.
