The Warriors had one of those magic seasons that sports teams have every once in a while when everything goes right. Multiple players, not just Stephen Curry, had career years. Players with injury histories all stayed healthy; I don't think any of the rotation players missed more than 2 or 3 games all season. The GM more or less fell into their hands when he wanted to move to the Bay Area to be with his partner, just when the Warriors had an opening. Everyone accepted his role, all the pieces fit; part of the credit has to go to Coach Kerr. I know a lot of people were upset when Jackson was fired, but he divided the team. Kerr united them. The two teams that gave them trouble were the Spurs and Clippers and they did not have to face either in the playoffs. It was just a "perfect storm". I don't know if you can call them the best team in the NBA but they had the best season.
