They just became the extreme version of what this team has been doing for a while a top offense and a bottom defense but the Nets have a historically great offense and a historically terrible d. Really interesting.
Love me some Joker. Funny: I love Jokic but hate Doncic. Must have a lot to do with their respective organizations. That and the fact that Jokic was an unheralded second-rounder and also he's the nearest thing to Arvydas, only, in many ways even better (but lacking the athleticism and height of pre-injuries Sabonis).
Or you could just take a step back and enjoy the stat. Lighten up Francis.....your getting grumpy in your old age.The Nets are also 6-2 since the trade in games Harden has played. The two LA teams are the only ones with a winning percentage that high. I'd say the won/loss record tends to trump the bad defensive rating
I'd also point out that is still a +2.7 net differential for the Nets in Harden games. Blazers have a -0.9 net differential
another note: Harden didn't play last night in the game when Brooklyn gave up a 132.2 defensive rating. That kind of rating will skew the numbers a bit
I'm not going to bat for Harden here as much as pointing out that tweet, while good for chuckles and floating stereotypes, was really missing some very important context

That is one ugly jacket and pants set (needs a matching purse)~ haha. Just BAD!
Stronger than last year though were we saw a pretty large shift from what we've seen historically. Problem is, that shift was caused primarily by 5 teams that had really good defensive personnel (Bucks, Celtics, Clippers, Heat, Raptors). That appears to be a poor correlation in the graph and not really identifying a cause/effect story.
Opponents attempt more 3pnt shots with the further right the teams are on the graph (ie - teams attempt a 3pnt shot about 47% of the time against NO and only 34% of the time against Minny).
Good defensive teams (Lakers, Memphis, Rockets) are at the bottom of the graph vertically while poor defensive teams are at the top (Kings, Wiz, Blazers).
If there was a stronger correlation, the teams who give up the most 3pnt shots (NO, Miami, Charlotte) would also be the worst defensively while those who give up the fewest (Minny, Utah, Phoenix) would be the best defensively.
