Two guards who are ball dominant and very gifted offensively but have not been as successful defensively.

I was so fucking mad at this. Dame was clearly hurt, limping on the court on dumbass Terry plays him 40 minutes. To lose by double digits no less

We haven’t been the same since we let him go. Now look at Dallas as well. Seth Curry was so fucking nice for us. Nice defender too

We have lots of great three point shooters. That is not our issue.

It's the 3 point makers that we lack :dammit:

Giannis with a fucking brick to end the game against Phoenix. He is spectacular until the final minutes of games......where he becomes good but not great.

Annoying finish to Lakers game. Thunder get the stop (LeBron airball) but put the ball on the floor before calling a timeout so they don't get to advance the ball with 4 seconds left. Dumb dumb dumb.

    Little .583
    McCollum .441
    Trent .430
    Simons .400
    Dame .389

Also, in 3FGM/game, CJ is tied for Curry for 1st with 4.8. Dame is next with 4.1. Basically, we have two of the three best three point shooters in the NBA.

It's not a coincdence Sixers are good this year and the Mavs aren't. And we went from WCF to sub 500 lol. The emergence of Trent makes up for it now.

I'm not sure what you mean by "lots" or "great"

but CJ isn't playing right now leaving two guys at 40% or higher: Trent & Simons. They are around 41.5%. The problem is they have taken 249 three's; meanwhile, Melo, RoCo, Jones and Hood have taken 290 and they are only shooting around 31%

another problem is that while Trent & Simons are shooting three's well, they suck at two's: Trent is shooting 39% and Simons is shooting 37%

We shoot 38.1% from 3 as a team. That's pretty great. Jazz are 40.2. Not a huge difference and the season isn't over. These things even out as the season goes on. Covington's shooting % will go up. Hood was one of the best 3 point shooters in the league last season so he could go up. Melo is undeperforming from 3 so he could go up too.

yeah, people can go up...they can also go down

by and large, team's 3 point percentages fall as the season progresses

When they're insanely hot, like the Jazz, yes. I don't think any of our shooters are shooting out of their range like many on the Jazz are, But anyway, as I said, CJ & Dame are 1st & 3rd in 3PM per game. The fact that CJ isn't playing doesn't matter because this discussion started when Aldo said he wished we had a GM who found shooters like this. We HAVE a GM who finds good three point shooters. That doesn't change because CJ misses 4 weeks.

By the way, the Jazz had TWO shooters who shot 40% + last season and they have the same team! Bogdanovich shot 41.4% and Georges Niang who shot 40%. Tony Bradley shot 100% but he only took 1 shot all season. So, I think it's safe to say that Olshey has done a fine job getting three point shooters on our team. After all, he brought Curry here to begin with and if it was economically feasible, he would've stayed. Did the Utah GM make them all shoot better from three this season?
